Hairdyes are not proven to cause cancer. Henna if pure, is good as it's a natural substance. Pure means taking the henna leaves & grind it yourself.

Results from studies on hair dye and cancer have been very mixed, with some studies linking the two and other studies finding no connection. There's no definitive answer to this question yet. I think when research results are mixed like this, it's best to think about risk/benefit factors -- that is, there MIGHT be a risk that using hair dye could increase your risk for certain types of cancer, so you should determine how important having dyed hair really is to you.

Naturally made henna is considered to be pretty safe, though "black henna," which has added chemicals, can cause allergic reactions and permanent tissue damage.

You get cancer if you drink a cup of it everyday. So you don't have to worry about it being cancer causing.
