Fiction means it is made up. As for good Christian fiction, you can't go wrong with C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia.
Beyond that, and into newer works, I suspect if you put "Christian Children's Books" in a search engine, you will get lots and lots of hits.

Fiction is made up. Non fiction is true. A good book with christian backdrop is The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. There is constant mention of sons of Adam and daughters of Eve.

Good Christian fiction books for that age group would include C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia. The series is great, I started reading them in fourth grade and loved them. The first book The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe was read out loud to us by our teacher. I picked up the rest of the series for myself.
Mardel--or your own local Christian bookstore--should have a section of books for you to browse. I was amazed by the selection the last time I was there.

Fiction, by definition, is fabricated (made up). It might have a basis in real life, but the characters, settings, and actions have been developed in the mind of the writer. There's a genre called creative nonfiction that involves some degree of fabrication, but the writer owns up to the truth of the narrative events.
