The key here is chocolate bar, not a truffle, or a chocolate dessert. Best chocolate that came wrapped in a single bar, large or small. Details on why you liked it so much would also be great.

Ghiradelli. Dark chocolate is my favorite but they have many varieties. This is more of a 'gourmet' chocolate instead of the mass produced junk you find in the aisles of the typical grocery store. The company was founded in San Francisco and you can still see the original factory down by Fishermen's Wharf, although it has been turned into a shopping mall now.

My favorites are the mint Aero bars, from the UK. They're not over-minty like a York Peppermint pattie, and they have the little air bubbles in them as well. I probably like them best because I can only stock up on them by either visiting the UK or New York City (so they're a rare find). They are impossible to find where I live.

I am not big on sweets, but I favor the Caramello (think I spelled it right). Nothing like a good chocolate with the sweet center of carmel.
