I am a happy person but only when i'm home with my husband and 2 children. I don't mind my dad, so much but ANYBODY else in this world really irratates me. I do not like to be around people, mainly my in-laws (as horrible as that my sound you should only know the whole story.)But honestly I just can't tolerate many people. When I get around a lot of people I freak out and feel like fighting or just yelling at someone. That's when i flee for home. I don't drink or do drugs. I only have very few and select amount of friends and at times I shut them out for periods of time. When I really think about people I get sooo sooooo angry to the point I'm on a warpath. Is this normal or do I have a real problem?

Maybe you have had some bad experiences with people insulting you or hurting your feelings. Maybe you have the right to feel this way. Another thing: I went nuts for a while, couldn't go places and interact with people because I had some anger issues with my boyfriend. Since I could not discuss them with him (he would have ended the relationship), I took those anger issues out the door with me. Another thing: Years ago, I drank a lot of coffee, and that made me very nervous and highstrung around people, so if you are overdoing the caffeine, cut down. Sometimes when I am around people who drive me nuts, I take 1/4 Xanax (thank you, Doctor). I might be sitting there, looking totally normal, but inside my head, this little voice is going, "You stupid *****!" What a nightmare! Obviously some old issues are replaying in my subconscious. Don't feel bad. Stay away from toxic people. If you must interact on a social basis, 1/4 Xanax will do the trick. You just want a smidgen, not enough to pass out asleep!

I really don't like to be around to many people either, I would much rather be home with my family too so I understand that part of you. What I don't get is your ANGER, I just don't like very many people but I am not angry about it. I think you may have some sort of anger problem you might need to work on but hey what do I know, I probably need therapy too! LOL

I hate people too. I had the same problem a few years ago. I was put on Effexor it really helps but is expensive. They may have a generic version by now. Go talk to your doctor, it's hard to live a normal life when you are like that. Good luck and I wish you the best♥

people in general can be very intolerable but maybe you just our a homebody and if you didn't have a family people would call you that loner and so on. but you show signs that you are not rejected from society but reject society. i see no problem i keeping with your own views but do hope you allow your children to decide if they to desire to be alienated from the general population. if at anytime you think you would want to seek help to mix with people again join a anger management problem and at least you won't be the only hothead. good luck

You might have depression.. I know your happy - but my mom is the same way. Happy one minute the next minute she's ready to tear someones head off. And she's been prescribed for depression, and she takes Paxil or something like that. But yes, go see a doctor.

This happens to alot of people. My best friend has the same problem. She said her doctor told her it was social anxiety. She's on xanex and zoloft now and she's a totally different person.

Girl you just described me! I don't know what's wrong with us. I asked this Question about a month ago and a lot of people said I have borderline personality disorder.

I do not think you have a problem. I think you should be very selective of who you consider friends. I think all people but like 5 suck giant D1ck.

I think you are smart.
