Maybe we have the option, like in that movie "What Dreams May Come", I like that idea, of being able to choose between heaven and reincarnation.

The reality is that u will go to ur next life depending on ur actions in this
life. Remember, U R THE MASTER OF UR OWN DESTINY. If u do good to others, u will get prosperity or else it is the opposite. Also dont involve in killing of innocent creatures whatever they are. Other living organisms also have soul like ours and they also feel the pain like us. So never hurt any organism by mind, body and action.
The whole concept of life is simple, "What u sow u shall have to reap" just like newtons law, "for each and every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

We know there is a time between death and Judgment day. We also know that in that time those who have never had the opportunity to hear the word of God will be able to hear it. We also learn their is a Hell which some go to to pay the price of their sins. How to avoid paying that price is what Christianity is all about. Although we are also taught that their are sins that cannot be paid for by the blood of Christ like murder.

Well, answer is rebirth. But we can't say who you will be.A human beign or a god or a ghost or any creature.
It depends on what your final motive is. That is what you think just before you die. Therefor if you practise good things in your life time than bad things then their is a high probability to get a relatively good birth (as a human, a god, or a brahma. Other than those creatures are considered as low and sorrowful lives because they live in pains, panic etc. and it is very difficult for them to gather merits.merits (the good things you do) is one factor that determines what u get in this birth and your lucky and etc.
If you want to find more about these things google for buddhism.
good luck.
