when I was in the US .I stayed in the country for about 3 years iligally. Do you think the inmigration laws will allow me to re-enter as an UK citizen with a turist visa?

Yes you can. In addition to that, since you now hold a British passport, you do not need to apply for a visa to stay in the U.S. for up to 90 days.

If you have a British passport there is no problem but you
are limited to 3 month stay as a tourist only.

You can enter the US on your UK passport, the fact that you have previously entered on your Venezuelan passport is irrelevant. You should always carry both passports though.

Don't see why not? But like the previous person said, you'll be treated as a tourist ... with a tourist visa ... you can get in, but you'd better make damn sure you get out again within the prescribed time, or you'll be classed as an illegal alien ... :)
