Human beings wrote the bible but when you question some of the basic tenets, the answer is always you have to have faith. We cant prove its wrong and they cant prove its right. It came up in the pub last night. Is this the ultimate con?

There is no way to get scientific proof. So faith or no faith.

Only if you really think faith is blind, mine isn't, I met with Jesus, and I never went to church or got raised a Christian, in fact I laughed at all the christians I ever met. It was a true calling by god that showed me it's all true after all, the laugh was on me. It was a strange moment, perhaps a bit like on The Matrix when Neo woke up in the real world and realised everything he believed was a lie and the truth was scary. I didn't come to Christianity slowly or by being talked at, so I can't explain it any other way.

It sounds like it might be. Thats one of the biggest things that turned me off of christianity. You cant question anything. It doesnt seem believable to me anymore.
