You know, I agree with you 100%. BRAVO!!! You're taking a lot of hits for being this bold, but I commend you for it. I'm not a Muslim, but too I get sick and tired of seeing all the cruel, scathing, arrogant, smug, snotty remarks that Westerners hurl toward Muslims and Islam. People confuse terrorism with Islam because the terrorists say they're Muslims. They are not, they are horrible, evil people, and what they do is not jihad, it's retaliation and murder, which are UNGodly.
I get so so sick of seeing people here on the Internet say their sh*t and run away like little weenie bastard cowards. Little bitches. They judge the whole of Islam by the WORST specimens, those who say they are Muslims in word but are FAAAAAR from being Muslims in deed. I hate terrorism as much as the next person, but to get a "feel" for what Islam is, why not look to 1) the HOLY QUR'AN, 2) an Imam, and 3) the majority as an example, rather than to the extremist loons?
I applaud you for writing this. You must already have known you were gonna get some pretty harsh words, but you said it anyway. You have my appreciation.

You really are a fool. I live in England and am not aware of any crusade against the Muslim faith. There is understandably a huge amount of anger, directed at Islamic terrorism (no one likes to live under the fear of being blown up on the underground), but in general I live in a cosmopolitan society which embraces people of all colour, creed, and sexuality.
You on the other hand are full of misinformed crap - where is the crusade you are talking about, we may be in Iraq, but that's got more to do with oil than Islam, otherwise why aren't we invading every other Islamic state.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone - tell me about the acceptance and freedom of worship that non-muslims enjoy in Islamic states, and I think you'll be telling a tale of bigotry, hatred and ignorance far worse than you are whining about now.
What is it with you people? - accept that people don't think the same way, and uphold their right to do so, otherwise we'll be in an Orwellian society

First of all, let me just say I do not have anything against Islam...at least not anything more against Islam than perhaps I already have against organized religions in general. Let me also make clear what any sane person should know, even with the remarkably limited knowledge of Muslims that western corporate media provides: the vast majority of Muslims are ordinary people just trying to get through their daily lives like the everyone else. They go to work, they raise families, they worry about taxes, and all the other things that everyone else does. Let me also state that the vast majority of Muslims have nothing to do with terrorism. Also, instances of what is unfortunately all too often labelled "Islamic terrorism" rarely have much to do with Islam and everything to do with politics.
Now, having prefaced my impending remarks at length, let me just ask: how much courage does it take for Muslim-Americans to publically condemn terrorism, irrespective of the religion of the terrorist? The only way that Muslim-Americans will ever successfully stop the smearing of their faith and of themselves by the media and by the American public at large is to vociferously speak out against terrorism, especially when it's committed by those who claim to be doing it on behalf of Islam. Are Muslim-Americans unfairly profiled and targeted as a group? Yes. Perhaps you shouldn't have to speak out, condemn violence, and/or seek out opportunities to share your culture with other Americans. Nonetheless, the fact is if Americans knew more and understood more about Muslim-Americans, their culture and their religion, the level of prejudice against Muslim-Americans would drop.
As to what stupid people say online, the internet is very much like Hyde Park in London: any idiot with a soap box can stand up and start making proclamations and speeches, no matter how invalid the argument or irrational the speaker. One simply has to grow a thicker skin about it...I shall knock on wood for all the times my skin has not been thick enough...only once though. Otherwise, I'd wear my knuckles out. And quit taking Pat Robertson seriously: the only audience he has anymore is the trailer park crowd.

First all religions are bad. For Islam you have to blame radicals and fundamentalist ( they were exactly the same for Christianity 200 years ago)
Christianity brought more death and wrong to this planet than all religion combined trough history but it has been cahnged. Now the bad role of Christnaity is taken by Islam ( tought quoran is more peacefull than bible ( not that many ppl read both) and thanks to radicals who managed to interepret wrong. Also if you look at out knolwedge you would see there is a difference what we know and what we understand. Media should be mostly blame for misguiding ppl in understanding.
After world war II ( i am from russia orginally) Our media was saying Germans attacked us and Germans are bad. THey never separated Germans and nazi. See the difference? Same story here.

I do not practice religion nor do I agree with your anfry approach as it will resolve nothing however, I must agree with you, I have recieved plenty of hateful christian emails and been uinable to respond as they are sent thru answers with no email link available, but the few times I did recieve email from muslims that disagreed with my views, the emails were polite, there was a link to return the message or a full email address was included in the message along with the users real name, and I do see more hateful questions from christians regarding islam , than the other way around

You're kidding, right? Every Muslim I've ever engagad in dialogue with has eventually attacked Christianity. And since Muslims are encouraged by the Quran to kill unbelievers, I will stay at arms length away from you, thank you very much. Unlike Islam, Christians are not encouraged to go around killing, bombing, and otherwise creating mayhem. We are instructed to be innocent as doves but wise as serpents. Go bomb somebody else!

No, just convenience, I suppose. I don't meet many Muslums on the street in real life.
Besides, I only respond rudely to questions that try to "bait" Christians by asking some smart-mouth question that has an implied insult againist Jesus (peace be upon his name), Christianity, or America.
Why not GROW SOME BALLS and insult Christians to their face, instead of post dumb-@$$ questions on the Internet poking fun at Christians?

Are you really as ignorant as you are sounding? Or did you just wake up in a bad mood?
Blowing up markets, beheading civilian workers, only fighting from the shadows, only having the balls to show your face on a camera, and wishing death to ANYONE(Muslim or not) whose beliefs, ideals, and ways aren't exactly like yours is about as ball-less as you get.
You want truth? Try pulling you head out of the sand and see whats going on around the world.
I find it beyond sad that the people of Islam went from being one of the most educated peoples on Earth to being what they are today.

All bigots are cowards. Fear is what causes hate and bigotry. They don't understand , it makes them afraid and they form feelings of hate and a desire to get rid of or hurt the thing they are afraid of. IF they would devote half as much time to education as they do to spreading ignorant hate they may lose the fear and be able to live happier lives , actually contributing to society something more than hate.

Actually, you see quite a few muslims attacking the christian faith. They even formed a little club. They call it AL ******* QAEDA!!! Sorry, man, you left yourself open to that one.
In all seriousness, though, this is the problem with the big monotheistic religions. They're all absolutely positive that they hold the one true path to the divine, and very few of them have any qualms with commiting mass murder and genocide to prove it.
