tell me your opinion about it. Why do they remain singles, and how the world view them?

I am a single Christian woman who has come to the conclusion that she only wants to marry a person with whom she is involved in ministry, from which a natural friendship develops, and out of that develops something else. In that order. In other words, I only want want to marry if there's something we can do together, and we'll be able to do it better if we get married.

I also want someone who views non-egalitarian marriages as idolatrous - which is all but impossible to find, especially in a place where guys still immediately get turned off the moment they notice a girl is taller than they are. And I'm not the type to 'settle for less' just to have a hubby.

Now, where I live (a VERY Catholic country in Eastern Europe), a significant element of the population (or at least their parents) get worried if a girl doesn't have a candidate for marriage by age 20.

But since I'm not a native and am just totally out of the box even for someone of my nationality (American), folks just look at me and accept me for who I am - a 42-year-old single woman.

Some have expressed admiration or even envy that I can just 'be me' and not worry about what other people think. Why is it that all of them are female????

I am a single christian and I am single because I am waiting on God for my husband. I refuse to chase a man down and believe that a guy should chase a girl. Not once in the bible did a woman of God chase or seek her husband. Therefore neither will I. I know the world views me as strange because I wont have sex before I am married but since I got saved, I realized that sex is Gods gift to a husband and wife and its spiritual as well. Quite frankily I dont care what the world may say about me because I know who's opinion matters most to me and that is Jesus Christ and my husband. (btw that is in the works right now, we arent dating yet but everything specific I have prayed about, this guy is doing, he hasnt violated one prayer nor does he know of any of them) I dont wish to remain single but am content being unmarried at the time. It really is God who strengthens me: 3 years and still moving along

Being a christian single myself is great because it gives me time to pray, read God's word, and to do whatever it is that He (God) has assigned to hands to do. Some remain single because they do not want to get married at this time or at all. I do want to get married but I would rather wait on the Lord for Him to send me my mate than to go out on my own and mess up. As far as how they world thinks? They have various reason, one of the biggest one is that christian singles will become old maids. I hope that this helps.

To be honest, a Christian single person has the potential to do more for God than a married Christian. They are able to devote more of their time to serving Him. Many of them are called to be single for this purpose. I don't know that the world views them any differently. I can say from experience that other "Christians" view them as outcasts. God can use anyone if we let Him.

I think my point is clear her. They are SINGLE. They want to be. Stop worry about WHY or what religion. Worry about YOURSELF.
