I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I don't smell very good. I perspire like crazy, and by the end of the day I don't like to go near anyone because I'm afraid my odor is offensive. I shower every morning, wash my hair and use a body wash. I put on deoderant (I've tried many brands, but none seem to work that well) and perfume, but I don't want to douse myself with perfume because a ton of perfume on top of body odor is usually worse.
I'm looking for any suggestions to improve my body odor/perspiration problem. Thanks!

When I said I used deoderant, I meant an anti-perspirant deoderant... sorry for the confusion. :o)

Body odor (B.O.) is caused by sweat mixing with bacteria living on the skin.
Consume more Zinc:
Some people find that body odor problems can be remedied simply by consuming more zinc
Apply Baking Soda
Sodium bicarbonate, better known as baking soda, kills the odor-causing bacteria and absorbs moisture. Many people find that baking soda is just as effective as a deodorant. Simply sprinkle a generous amount into your bath and soak yourself, or mix it with a little talcum powder and apply it directly to underarms.
Shaving More
Frequently shaving (or trimming) your armpit & leg hair. Hair can increase sweating. Also, hair retains odor, so getting rid of the hair may make your armpits smell better.
Wear cotton (avoid synthetic fabrics which retain odors)
Try and wear only pure cotton clothes. Make sure that you wash regularly to get rid of the sweat -- bathing or showering twice a day helps.
Diet
Avoid hot drinks, caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods that can all cause excessive sweating.
Antiperspirant
You say that you have many deodorants, try one with an antiperspirant in it. The best ones for sweating contain aluminum chloride hexahydrate.

You need to eliminate the consumption of some spices like onions, garlic, and even alcohol. I have heard that zinc as well as other minerals helps to control our body odor. Also use antibacterial soaps. If the problem is under your arms, you can try Drysol which is like a deodorant, but it is prescribed. It cost around $15. You apply it before you go to sleep and you’ll be extra dry the next day. Have you been always like that? Hormonal changes, diet, and even some health conditions may aggravate the problem. Nobody smell like roses. This is the reason why we bath regularly. Maybe you are extra clean and that makes you self-conscious. Besides that, everybody has his/her own natural scent.

Are you overweight? I know that being overweight usually generates much more sweat. Try (if possible) taking a shower on your lunch break as well.
And try a men's deodorant. Usually they keep odor at bay a while longer.
There's not much help with the sweating, but if you rub baby powder on the spots that sweat the most (after your shower and while you're dry), you probably won't sweat quite as much.
Good luck!

try degree spray anti-perspirant/deodorant in all the places on you're body where you're likely to sweat. yeah, like down there.
if that doesn't help, go to the doctor. some diseases present themselves with a foul odor coming off the skin. also, if you're taking any antibiotics, some medicines do the same thing.

Body Odor...including bad breath comes from within. You ever heard of "you are what you eat"? As your body exp ells waste or in the case of sweat, coolant, odor emitted from your body represents the chemical smell of the waste. Like Asparagus, makes yer pee smell like Asparagus. Vitamin B does the same thing, Garlic, Unions, so on and so forth. While in Mexico one time , I drank so much tequila, the next morning while horseback riding, I was sweating so bad and I smelled my arms and almost got drunk again.Check with your doctor as to the possible cause.

If you sweat a lot, deodorant is not the answer. You want a deodorant/anti-persperant, preferably extra strength.
Also, you may have overactive sweat glands. Check with your doctor. You may need Botox injections into those glands to control the sweating.

You should talk to your doctor because it might not be something you can fix with deodorants, etc.
