How absurd would be be to think that humans did not evolve from apes, and that they where not created by God. Many ancient paintings and drawings depict Flying Vehicles, (thought can't be proved they are actually the UFO of today's standard.) What if man actually did come to Earth from another planet. Made kind of a prison for the outcasts of Planet X. Maybe Adam and Eve where the first of many. (We have already read how rotten they where?) There are many Ancient wonders that are still a complete mystery as of yet, and can not be totally contributed to ancient man, or God...(ie. The Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, Stone Henge, etc) Could it be possible?

Yup, at this point anything could be possible. I love looking at the old art works and finding the UFOs in the piece. I have read so many different theories on how it all began. I can't say which is the real one but I know what feels right to me. I just stick with that.

An atheist would have no problem with that concept. That's the difference between theism and atheism.

Atheists don't "worship" evolution. We just know that creationism is false, so we don't bother with it anymore. Evolution has not been disproven, and it's the best theory we've ever come up with. But if someone comes up with something better, we'll adjust.

Unfortunately, the theists won't, and will still be quoting mythology rather than simply looking at the facts. The proof that we came from aliens could be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, and they'd simply claim that the proof was all forged..

Not likely. why does human nature have to go to the supernatural when we cannot comprehend mundane accomplishments? the more likely possibility is that Human civilization is much older than currently believed. there is a possibility that a good part of civilization was destroyed by a cosmic occurrence about 11,500 years ago which caused major upheaval in the earth's crust and drastically changed the landscape of the planet. Maybe that's what happened to the advanced civilization we now call Atlantis.

If both are wrong, then we need to adjust our positions accordingly. A few paintings of what are likely mysticised solar disks hardly counts as a compelling argument in favor of alien seeding in my mind, and certainly doesn't explain the huge numbers of extinct species in different geologic layers.

There would be alot of people prying their foot out of their mouth...

BTW: the pyramids and sphynx *are* attributed to man. Though certain aspects of their nature are a mystery, it has long ago been discovered that man built them as tombs for other men.

isn't the question: what is the origin of life?that being said, dewcoons made the salient point: where did the aliens come from? looking to space for the answer only pushes the question further away.

Certainly possible. I am nearly sure that somewhere in the universe there are other living organisms, we just haven't discovered them yet.
