I do not think fast food should be illegal in the United States but I do think the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should hold fast food corporations to a much higher standard. The fast food companies could take it upon themselves to improve the quality of their product but as long as they meet minimum standards set by the FDA and they continue to make money hand over fist there is no incentive for them to change. One could make the argument that fast food would become much more expensive but it is the customer base that will dictate the price structure that fast food market...

First of all, fast food doesn't make people fat, people make people fat. Nobody's holding a gun to these peoples' heads and forcing them to stuff quarter pounders down their faces. If you're obese, its because you eat too much and its your fault, there's just no other exuse.

I personally enjoy eating fast food every once in a while. Its quick, its simple, and I have no problem whatsoever controlling my appetite to a respectable level. Some people just need to grow up and start taking responsibility for their own actions.

No, Fast food was meant for people on the go who don't have the time to sit and wait for a full meal to cook. Quick and simple, can be just as nutritious as getting a full meal, if those who choose to eat at a fast food establishment watch what they eat and how much of it they eat. And common sense says to exercise.

No, people should have the right to go to hell as they please, I would like to see nutritional information on each product large enough to make an impact on those choices. I personally do avoid eating fast food because I do not like the results that I see. But if somebody else wants to eat a cube of fat and carbs that is up to them.

Yes, actually this needs to happen before ciggerettes, more people are using up the health care system from the problem of being FAT, than they are from smoking. I hate fast food, but love a good smoke

If you're looking to blame...why not lay off the fast food chains and start blaming those who don't have the self control to stay away from fast food chains.

No, people should just learn to practice self control. No flippin reason why someone needs to 2 lbs of burger and 3 lbs of greasy fries followed up by a diet coke.

Just say small people!

No, passing a law that prohibits people from eating will never pass.

What they should do is make food cheaper, so that anybody can buy healthy food and have nutricious meals everyday. That's what I've been pondering.

Don't blame the fast food corporation, BLame people! If people stopped going, they wouldn't get big. If people ate fast food in moderation, people wouldn't have to make movies like "Supersize Me" Who really eats fast food three times a day??? That's stupid on your part if do.
