What are your wishes for when you die? Do you want to be buried/cremated etc. what sort of service, coffin...?

I would like to be buried. I don't want to be mourned - I want to be celebrated. I would like people who attend my funeral to wear bright colours - not black. After the funeral I would like people to celebrate my life with a big party cos hopefully I will have moved on to a better place to meet up again with all my other family and friends who have also passed on. I would like Going Underground by The Jam to be played at the graveside - cos I have a sense of humour and people who knew me would know that and appreciate it.

I want to be buried. I want to be buried by "home" in South Carolina. I feel like that is where my life started. So that is where it should end. I currently live in Georgia. As for my coffin. I just want it to be blue. I really do not want to be in dress clothes. Although I like wearing a suit for special events. Depending on how I die is what kind of makeup might be used.

It does not matter if there is music. Whatever people want to play.

I think it would be neat to have a funeral procession from here to there. It is about a 2 to 3 hour distance. I want the viewing to take place twice. Once for the people in Georgia that can't make it to South Carolina. And then again in South Carolina. Then I want that held at the same funeral home they used for my grandfather.

The hearse has to be a Lincoln. NOT A CADILLAC.

Stranger parts.....
I was once gay. I thought about this then. I do not think I would want it now. However it was part of me at one time. I thought about having a gay flag draped across my coffin. Like they do with the American Flag.

I thought about having my coffin placed on a flat bed tractor trailer for the procession. Because I am a truck driver. But that just sounded too jacked up. So maybe just have a tractor trailer in the procession.

I've got mine all planned - my wishes have been written down and my family & friend made aware of what I want.

Obviously my wishes may change over the years but at present I want a cremation, with Procal Harem's 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' playing on the way in. I want people of celebrate my life rather than mourn my passing and I'm hoping for lots of drink & laughs at my wake.

I also have plans for music on the way out and the type of service I would like but don't want to get too personal.

I would like to be cremated.
I really don't want anyone looking at me saying, *Oh, she looks so good*, etc. I am DEAD for goodness sakes!

Also, after someone dies it is so horrible *WAITING* and DREADING waking up the next day to face the hours at the funeral home and funeral service.

Also, do you know what they do to you after you die???

That was where I went and found solace so many times.
Walking on the beach, sitting looking out at the water and sitting on the pier feeding the seagulls.
Found tranquility there many times.

Many fond memories there with my children, grandchildren and husband.

My only wish is to be buried other than that I don't mind, it's not as though I'm going to be looking in the mirror or listening to any music, is it?

Of course i want people to miss me but in a good way, laugh about the good times, or mistakes I have made. But they'll still have their live and they've got ot live it to the full

I would like for my dead body to just be taken away no funeral etc and cremated
Would rather friends and family remembered me how I was when I was alive and not seeing me in a coffin.
If they want to say goodbye it can be done when my ashes are scattered in the sea.
Much less hassle don't you think

i want to be cremated in a cardboard box...not a wooden coffin.. and 1/2 my ashes sprinkled over Lulleworth Cove in Dorset and the other 1/2 to be buried with my husband. (having to find a half way mark here cuz he wants all of me buried with him side by side. the thort of magots and creepy crawlies eating away at me is so yuck !!!) music...echos by Pink Floyd or Everybody Hurts by REM. Clothing...jeans and t.shirt. Folk...to party

I d will be cremated and the whole affair will be brief as Ive never been into formal gatherings! Plus I want my family to spend the money on something that ll make their lives more comfortable!

I want to be cremated then put into a massive firework and let off on the night of my wake. This way I can SH*t on all those that I missed when I was alive

I want to be cremated; wrapped in good wrapping paper with a bow, placed into the ground, not taking up much space. And I want people to have a good time with great food at my service. I want everyone to be happy. With a DJ. :)
