I am planning a Round The World journey, avoiding cities as much as possible. Am interested in rural life and landscapes. I've lots of time - the rest of my life - but limited budget, so no expensive safaris! Would be interested in stays of several days, weeks, even months along the way and helping out with harvests etc. Any advice, tips, addresses etc. most welcome. Thank you

Yes! Most of the British Isles is 'rural', especially Ireland away from Dublin. Just get out of the cities or as far as you can from them. Cornwall, Wales, The Lake District, The Western isles of Scotland. the whole West coast of Ireland.
