1) Anyone who thinks Catholics have some form of institutionalized pedophilia going on, is ignorant.
2) Anyone who thinks the Pope is the antichrist is a bigot, hiding their hatred in Scripture.
3) Anyone who goes beyond rebuking the errors of another Christian, and resorts to blood libel, sins against the Body of Christ.
4) Anyone who really wanted the answer to the following questions:
"Do Catholics worship Mary and the Saints?"
"Do Catholics practice idolatry?"
"Do Catholics worship the Pope?"
Would have already looked at the resolved questions instead of rehashing the same tired dialogue in order to find someone who agrees with them, and in fact only wishes to stir up trouble.
No this is not a well-written question. I'm saying goodbye. I'm wasting my time on so many of you who are content to let your ignorance stew and try to bring others away from what has led them to Christ. I'll finish my open questions, then I'm done.
In Christ,
V17

Right - "blood libel" are arguments that attack an entire group of people. Comes from anti-Jewish legends that Jews bake human blood into pastries for the high holy days. The most common anti-Catholic one is that Catholics are pagans.

I'll be praying for you it sounds like you need to take a bit of a break and just spend some time with God. I know its hard getting through to peopl, but remember that its not up to us to change people's hearts thats up to God if we show someon the gospell thats all we need to do the rest is up to God. I am actually not sure where you were going with what you were asking, but anyway I will be praying for you just take some time off away from answers and take some you and God time to get fueled back up and refilled with His refreshing Spirit.

1. Yes (Such occurrences are isolated and not promoted by the Catholic Church, although they caused by some bad theology)
2. No (For one to have a set of beliefs based on scripture and the views of late scholars is not bigotry. In fact, my personal views are not partial to my own group, religion, race, or politics, and I am quite tolerant of people who wish to differ from that view. It would appear that those who are Catholic are not tolerant of those who believe the pope is the anti-Christ however.)
3. Yes (depending on what you mean by "Body of Christ")
4. No (although I have never asked any of those questions, I can imagine that people could be dissatisfied with the answers previously given or too lazy to look for themselves).
So I hope this indicates a new position for the Roman Catholic Church. Through history, they have been one of the largest groups of bigots. They have called anyone and everyone that does not agree with them heretics, anathemas, and even representatives of Satin; they have killed and tortured millions, and spent the majority its existence trying to stop people from reading the Bible.
A new point of view from the Catholic Church would be most welcome. I do not mind if people do not believe the same thing as I do, but I do mind people questioning my motives. I have no issue with people who are Catholic, and I believe that most Catholics are sincere believers and will be saved; having said that though, I do also believe that the Roman Catholic System of religion is wrong. Is that any different from a Catholic thinking that my religion is wrong? Is it any different than a Catholic calling the reformation a revolt against the true church, Protestantism a slippery slope, Seventh-day Adventists a cult, or Joseph Smith a false prophet? Is it any different than calling those who wish to keep the seventh-day Sabbath Jewdisors (sp?)?
People in glass houses…
...Should not throw stones!
Yours might be funnier, but I am following tradition :D

Glass houses is a traditional English saying, but I ment that more as a pun than anything else.

Well, yeah, I agree with most of your statements, except the blood libel thing, cause I have no clue what that means. I realize there's a lot of catholic bashing, and its crude. I'm not catholic and I don't have any plans on becoming catholic, but christians should stick together, not tear each other down.

Are you a Priest? I agree with what you are saying, even though I am not a big fan of Catholicism (not for the aformentioned issues- I just have issues with "religion" in general), but at least I have not founded my views out of ignorance. People do need to do research before forming an opinion or being reactionary.

I agree with your statements. But I'm not here to teach anyone anything. These people don't really want answers, they want to argue. When I get tired of them, I just move on to other areas, like Pets or Electronics. Don't let them get under your skin.

You can believe in whatever you want. As for me, I'll stick with what makes sense.
I won't try to convert you, and I won't be convinced of your beliefs, either.
It's one thing to stand firm in your convictions, but you must also realize that other people will stand firm for their own.

My question to you is, why do you care if people agree or disagree with these statements? What effect does it have on you? Worry about your own beliefs and let others have theirs.
