How can a loving God cause people to burn for eternal life.
Oh yea, they don't. God only gives eternal life to believers. So, no hell. No eternal burning. Because eternal burning is eternal life, but with suffering. If so, how could God be so cruel?
And, those who do go to heaven, imagine their agony if they knew their loved ones were burning forever and ever. Kind of sad isn't it? But then, there is no unhappiness in heaven. So I guess, those who go to heaven will be filled with joy they their sinner loved ones are burning.
Hmmm, makes me not want to go to heaven. Seems everyone there will develop cruel hearts.

Because the evil Devil has lived as a material light for man to gain all his desires by, whether good for man or not, and a loving God is like a loving parent, also disciplines, molds, guides, and directs that we will be truly capable of taking responsibility for the actions and choices we make and therefore, the consequences. The evil Devil has tried to persuade us that we shouldn't have to take consequences for satisfying our personal desires. That has been the conflict from the beginning and will be the conflict until the end.

because sometimes God allows people to get really hurt either physically or emotionally or otherwise to get their attention to turn to him. most people refuse ro believe how a benevolent God could allow such horrible accidents and tragedy to happen that can break a persons heart to the point of never being able to heal from such experiences. so they refuse to believe that god is a loving god. of course god lets the devil exist to create these tragedys without getting his hands dirty. you might say the devil is God's go to guy when chastising a human with cruel actions.
I don't believe we make all of our own problems. sometimes we do. the statement rings true that the devil really did make me do it. other people will say the problems we encounter in life is based on the choices we make but I think that those choices are set up for us in advance.

I believe that people are like that because it is a lack of knowledge of what the Word says. The Bible says that people perish for a lack of knowledge of the Word of God. (People), who say they are religious or saved, and then go out, act like idiots or do things that are contrary to what they perceive Christians should or shouldn't do are the type of people who turn off others to a wonderful and loving God. If I hadn't known Him almost all my life I probably would feel the same way. The Bible teaches us that you can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. An apple falls off and apple tree, right? Well you can tell a Christian by their fruits too. Unfortunately we all (including myself) need to take a good long hard look at our lives and see if we are producing the kind of fruit we ought to be bearing.....The kind that would actually draw people to the wonderful, loving and forgiving God that He Is and not make them run from Him!

Nature abhors a vacuum. It is in man's nature to believe in something. If they can't believe in God then there are few options remaining. I think many people have been hurt by people in the church and they can't relate, that does not make them devil worshipers but again if they are not on God's side where do they go?

I am unable to believe that god exists, as hard as I have tried to make a connection or reason that there could be a god, I have failed, and so I remain an Atheist until god shows up in my living room.

Darfur. East Timor. Cambodia in the late 70s.
How could a loving God allow atrocities like this to occur?

Because we see on Earth that most people aren't all good or all evil, but a mixture of both. We can't help but believe that deity works the same way.

Chicken came first......."And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good." Genesis 1:24-25
It never says God made eggs and let them hatch.....And plus who would have sat on them? My opionion it was the Chicken, but you can believe what you want.
