Let it set out to room temp. I buy my Stimpy small can so we don't have to refrigerate. Use FancyFeast.

warm food has a better smell than cold which has a tendency to loose its smell and cats eat by smell. If the food doesn't smell good the cat isn't going to eat it. I warm up my cats fancy feast too as she only gets two teaspoons of wet a day as a treat, but she gets dry all day long to munch on.

Cats prefer food at room temperature, however; most will eat the food right out of the refridgerator. You can either let it stand out for bit before feeding it or just continue to heat it up in the microwave. I don't think it will hurt you to continue to take a few seconds to heat it up.
Just remember...only feed wet food as a treat. Dry food is much healthier.

I believe that cats live only by instinct.
A cat is never domesticated and he is always a hunter(can't take the wild out of the cat). As a hunter what he kills is a living creature with warm blood. therefore it would follow that cold food to your cat would seem unnatural for him to eat.

Cats like smelly food. Cold food doesn't smell as much as warmer food, so doesn't taste as good. Make sure it's not more than a couple days old, cats are finicky about freshness. Try dry food, it's healthier and doesn't need to be refridgerated.

animals like food that is at least room temp because they can smell the food. It has nothing to do with the cat being spoiled. When it's cold, straight from the frig, there is no smell, and so therefore it's simply not attrative to them. They don't eat by sight, I mean look at the stuff, would you eat it? They eat more by smell, and altough I think it smells nasty - they like it

You do not have to warm it up. Just let it set for 30 minutes or so on the counter before you give it to the cat.

How old is your cat? Either way it could have dental problems like humans animals also need good dental hygiene, I think your kitty has sensitive teeth to hot and cold just like some humans. So keep kitty happy heat the food and get over it.

You've spoiled your cat. Quit heating the food up and eventually he will eat it!
