Hm, this is someone who sounds like he had a fit trying to think of something, blocked the thought, noticed himself a dimwit and looked for someone to take it out on. Job well done I'd say.

I think that it's the constant exposure to what I call 'hate radio'. Have you noticed how permeated the airwaves have become with the phelgm-flinging hatemongerers in the past few years? They hate everything and everyone. And that hate is contagious. It turns people into nasty little parrots who repeat and amplify this hatred everywhere they go.

Sometimes I wonder if this blanketing of hate-radio is a deliberate thing, like the hate spouting in Rwanda was? Get people accustomed to the idea of dehumanizing 'liberals' and 'atheists'* in order to make it easier to launch the second Civil War.

And make no bones about it- the 'culture war' is starting to turn into a religious civil war for the very soul of our country, pitting the Talibangelicals against anyone and everyone who disagrees with their particular platforms. People who say, "Hey, wait a minute!" get targeted. Little pogroms, like the one in Delaware (look it up) are getting bolder and more blatant, spurred on by the hate-sprayers.

My dad got infested with this virulent hate- listening only to hate radio until I read to him all the buzz words that they use, all the false goads they constantly use to stoke the Right Wing Rage. I asked him if the things he was parroting were his own thoughts, or those of the haters on the radio. And I challenged him to turn off the hate radio for one month. He did. And he stepped away from the hate.

I wish others would do likewise, but sadly, I doubt it. I hope that more people will wake up to what is poisoning their minds and hearts, and actually return to Christ's teachings. He did not say 'hate your neighbor'.

*An 'atheist' in the eyes of the haters is anyone- Christian or not- who does not follow their very narrow set of beliefs. They use 'liberal' the same way.

Sounds like your typical ignorant christian conservative alright. Unfortunately, this breed seems to be increasing in number, to the point where we may actually have to get out of this country and leave it to destroy itself. If I had grown up in an era where America still stood for freedom and democracy, I might actually be sad about that - as it is though, I just hope the country dies quickly and quietly.

This person is obviously not a Christian at heart. Otherwise they wouldn't include profanity in their message. At best, they are a hypocritical Christian who is consumed with anger and who has yet to experience the love of Christ and so they have none to share with others.

So, while this type of person may in fact be typical of someone who "professes" to be a Christian. They are not typical of a true Christian, conservative or otherwise.

He sounds like Bush, the Born again Christian. Why is Bush on Yahoo answers? Shouldn't he be running the country/world?

Don't worry Jim W. Lord will have mercy on you in your after life. Seeing that you never voted for a president who is a mass murderer.

Wow - did Jesus swear that much? Ya gotta laugh. And at them, not with.

I canceled a hypothetical question that I had posted in the religion section because all the answers I got were from "Christians".

You are brave to have your email address out there. These Godly types can be scary.

NO!

He's supposed to be following the God of Love & he's totally absorbed in hatred. I try not to judge a person's soul, but his actions are obviously very much NOT Christian; conservative or otherwise.

Darling, these are not the words of one who fears God, but of a prideful little beast that thinks far too much of himself. "not all who call me Lord, Lord, will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven" --Jesus, the bible.

though I can't understand why you *'d out some words but left in the f-bomb.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion I guess. I don't think it's fair for people to hate others just because of their beliefs. Whether or not someone believes in God or not, it's their own business, and no one should be criticized for it.

i do not block all people both - yet Ron S is one hundred% excellent. Your loose speech does no longer mean some different person has to well known it, take heed to it, or respect it. If someone chooses to brush aside you one hundred% of the time, oh nicely - stay with it.
