Christians, Common sense?
Christianity? Jesus? Dying?
What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?
(NOT A VIRGIN BIRTH! - Google Imacculate Conception. What else do you falsely believe? )
Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Gods do not die? Do they?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us? Big deal!
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!
If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to swallow it too.
Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.
Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming lost.
What is a Christian Principle?

I realize that most christians would avoid this question, and I am not sure I can answer it in a way that you would understand, or believe, I'll wager.
First of all, the scriptures are true, and yes some can be a bit discomforting. So, let me start by saying that if someone just decides to pick up the bible and start reading it, yes, you may right from the start turn to a certain passage of scripture and be like, whoa!
If I don't know something, or am not sure, I will tell you. I don't know all the bible, nor do I claim to know what God was, is and will be thinking.
On your Luke 19:27 passage, this was a parable, not something that actually happened. It is a story of example of our willingness to serve God. Some people God has given much to, and others not so much. Just because He chooses to give much to some and not others doesn't excuse the fact that what we have we must use for him. If person A is given a truly blessed life by God, and knows this and uses his/her life to serve God in thanks and praise, that is good. But what of the person who is given less? Does God still expect him to give the little he has been given? Yes. Why? Because all who love God, whether have a little or a lot, will go to heaven. God wants you to give him what you have, and not waste it. The remark about slaying his ememies before him? I would in my own understanding of that believe that no matter who you are, rich or poor, talented or not, must give what you what you have back to God. He created you, just as you are. Maybe you don't have what someone else has, and you blame God for that. That is common. You say, How can I serve you when I don't have as much as that person? He knows how much you have. If he wanted you to have more, he would have given you more. It isn't a competition to serve God.
I know this isn't a lot to work on, and I would be happy to explain more to you. I won't run and hide. Let me know.
For starters, you should read the whole chapter in Luke 19 to understand the parable, because even I, who believes in God, has struggled with that same passage. Interesting that I would come across your question... and people say God isn't real...
Take care:) You can find me if you want.
Without going into detail, time is short, but I will be glad to discuss this further with you, discuss, not force.

I'm going to assume that you don't know better, rather than trying to get some confrontation. So to answer your question, the truth behind all of this is that you need to read passages and not just a verse or two. Many people take the Bible and use a verse here and there and make an argument. However, if we did that then we could preach atheism. In one part of the Bible it says "Be a fool for God." in another part of the Bible it says "Only a fool says there is no God." So does the Bible want us to disbelieve in God? No. It's just that we would be taking the quotes out of context. At the very least read 5 verses before AND after the quoted area and hopefully you get a better picture as to why the verse is there. The Bible is not a set of axioms, it a collection of writings. Some of which are letters which are meant for specific people. Some were written for Jews, others written for Gentiles and you need to look at them as separate books rather than single verses. Otherwise we could be perverting the Bible.

Funny how you left parts of the verses out you say Jesus considered the Gentiles inferior beings. This story was a test of the woman who came to Him, true faith. She pleaded for help an d He snubbed her but she persisted in her faith and He rewarded her. Nice job taking everything out of context.
Luke 12:51 - yes he did come to divide the non-believers from the believers.
Matthew 10:34 - yes he did come with a sword and to teach the world how not to die by the sword.
Luke 14:26 - what version of the bible are you reading? I have read the Bible multiple times and never have I read that Jesus says that we are to hate our parents.
Matthew 5:44 - did it ever dawn on you that this verse is not talking about monetary wealth when it says abundance? No it wouldn't b/c you are reading with a closed mind and pre-conceived notion.
Luke 19:27 - This is from the story of the man who didn't trust Jesus and hid his money. This verse is referring to judgement day and what will happen to those who were sent the word of God but did not take heed.

(It sounds like to day!), you have common sense, though the division of the world,do you mean, the real U.S., world, also known in U.S., as the new World, that has divided it self from the Old World? giving U.S., the sword?, I have read some of the answers and most of then seams to express the disbelief in the existence of Jesus, as well of God, perhaps you an make a best point of view if you step out way from the U.S., boundaries, and less concern with what U.S., means for Americans per-say?, realize that we are talking about gentiles, so such verses are refereeing too?, U.S., and U.S., way of living. the division between U.S., born individuals, peoples, persons and so on, will give you an answer, after what will be up to you to see and believed the true U.S., steal is not United but separated at lest between Black and White. The Old World has nothing of inferior, does U.S., or North America?, that is a question which we should analyze a bit more openly, with reasoning and not just common sense. Perhapsthe miracle will become went all of U.S., is wipeout of the map and peace will become real for the rest of the World?. So you may think I am not aChristians for not believing in U.S., well I am Catholic and I believed in HIM,and in jesus and such believd will never be affected by Evil, nor by thenegatives answers abouth the hollinessof God and his Son, that are living, and for ever, because theyhave the control of the matter, and of thesubstances of matter's. So about wakeing up?, there is no saints in U.S., ? but Jew's and gentiles who think that the rest of the World is inferior, could it be the other way around?, will this make more sense?<<<<>>>>> Good luck!

I can not understand the first verse. I believe you might have mispelled something.
The second verse states that he has been brought here for the lost people, not for everyone.
the third says he has broght conflict and not peace. As can easily be seen on this site.
The forth says the same thing.
The fifth one says if you hate nobody you can not be his disciple. See Jesus was here for the lost as evidently by the second statement, so he had nothing to do with the ones that weren't. This was especially true of his disciples.
You are right on the sixth
The last two statements have already come to pass. He preaches love. However the Christian church killed many in Jesus name who would be concidered his enemies.
I hope this helps a little
No, I do not believe in the Bible

For number 1 and 2 -
When Jesus was on earth, Gods promises were still mostly to Israel. Jesus was their last great chance to learn and do Gods' will (some of them did so). Israel was to be an example to the world, but they chose to show what not to do.
3,4 and 5 - He did not want people to just be happy together, He wanted people to love and obey the Father. This meant that we are to do Gods' will, even if it means being at odds (sword) with family and friends. Peace with God and with those that follow God.
6- People who are seeking Gods' will, will find more truths. People who are looking to stay away from God will loose what truths they have.
7- Love everyone.
8- Is a part of a parable, the words of a ruler. Jesus and the Bible point the way to life. But if we disobey them, then we will be judged guilty and the punishment is death. Jesus does not want to do that, so He has warned us. But it is up to us to accept His salvation.

* Jesus has a few symbolic references and the Bread of Life is one of them.. He really was sent to DADs errant children of Israel to bring them back into the *house* again .. they'd become quite widespread in location and had picked up all sorts of gods and bad habits...
* The Prince of Peace and His Sword - again symbolically consider the Sword to be one of the Spirit - or the Word of God - Hebrews 4:12 it divides and penetrates ... dividing soul and spirit ... judging thoughts and attitudes of the heart...messy business that... lurking in the church are unsavoury things and the Word will cut away at it... hence the strife and such that occur in the Body...
* Prioritise is what Jesus was getting at... Love him above all else ... such that you shouldn't hesitate to pick him over flesh and blood... its a big ask to let go of all family and such to fully and wholly serve Christ...
* As some folk listened and grabbed hold of what was being said.. they were given more ... many are just as wasteful with what Jesus has to say... ignoring it.. discarding it...thus impoverishment will pay a visit
* Two different passages altogether.. for your benefit and patience...try to love your enemies by not killing them off... the second passage from Luke is part of a parable ... about outright rebellion and negligence... the consequences of both.. would take a lot longer to get into than I can stay awake for... hope the postings are fruitful for you...

ok i am by no means religious, but some of these didnt sound right so i looked them up.....matthew 13:12 discusses knowledge about the kingdom of heaven not money or food or anything....in verse 27 that is a story about a king wanting to kill his enemies that jesus was telling probably for good purpose....and the matthew Verse 15:24 is really the biggest mistake you made as that sentence would me "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel' so just a couple of things i am not a religious zealot...but if you are going to maek a point get it right or its embarressing

1.Jesus was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel but they rejected him and that is why
the gentiles were brought in.Read St. Luke14,16-24
2.The sword is the word of God. Read
Ephesians 6, 17 and Hebrews 4,12
3.The division is because we in the natural go against the grain with the word of God.
4.We are taught things from birth ....daddy,mommy,sister,brother that is not of God and we have to hate those things and be willing to lay what we have been taught to receive the truth, even what we think. We are not to hate the people.
5.Jesus gave all man kind a chance for salvation and the ones that do not want him to reign over them so that they can be blessed in this life and in eternity, will in the end be destroyed. This is not for us to worry about,it is God that judges and it is for us to show, judgment, meaning see the truth, mercy, meaning be merciful when someone is wrong, and faith meaning keeping our faith in God that his will be done. I hope this has helped you.

These are all written by other people not Jesus. Unfortunately we have nothing written in jesus's words to really know what he wanted us to believe or act. These interpretations or fabrications tell us what his followers wanted us to believe. And the people that wrote the bible probably aren't even when they say they are. If there is/was a book written in Jesus' own words then maybe we could have a valid idea. So no matter what we want to believe the bible does not tell us god's mind. Okay, I know all this ranting and I did not explain the verses. It is so hard to explain religion with common sense.
