Voodoo is a faith and hoodoo a human beings concept. both use spells and hoodoo makes use of herbs, spells, and so on. and originates contained in the american South between black human beings. Voodoo originated in Africa. The dolls are used as a device to spotlight some thing in the time of a spell or ritual. sure i understand human beings that practice New Orleans style voodoo and hoodoo. i understand of a lady who used a love spell to get her guy.

Indigenous peoples, who drum and respect their ancestors retain very many octaves of understandings that are lost on orthodox faiths ... obcourse always subject to "individual understanding" as well ... voudou is one of many that has an uninterrupted ancestral lineage , more as Celts once were ...AmerIndian (South and North American- and pardon this term "Amerindian" as it is touchy) is another ...there are many such faiths that penetrate to shamanic levels ...but bare in mind their adherents numbers are not "censused" well ...
