Having criminal checks and the right documentaion verifications with in a certain time limit done before they put the ones they catch in holding facillities to be deported. If the immigrant has a verified reason without having a criminal history to be here Then letting the judicial system handle it. I realize it's a difficult solution and expensive but maybe we would have less "illegal" people here. I have to believe that the majority come for a better life. Especially the children. This Idea needs work but it is an idea.

J.J Your right and in having dealt with I.C.E personally and watching some aspects in action even that program is limited in what they can do. Not that it's faulty but they can only deal with the information thats at hand.

Ricky that would work if you have the Legal name of the person being hired there are aliens with false papers of people who are legal and the papers are almost fool proof.

I think it's a good idea and you are obviously a very kind person especially if you are a Caucasian we have a bad reputation for being prejudice. I am Caucasian and my best friend is Ecuadorean She married a white guy. They met while he was on a missionary trip in Ecuador. She has suffered tremendously since she has been here by stupid prejudice Americans. I wish they would grow up we are in the 21st century. But we do need more protection on our boarders we don't want to leave ourselves open for another terrorist attack.

often the illegal will not give a real name. if he/she sits there for a ong time whos fault is that?
enough food to survive, water, and a place to sleep is all they need or deserve, sorry but invaders do not deserve to clog the American judicial system any more than it is already clogged. deportation in these instances is just an administrative duty or it should be.
The above is my stance on those caught at the border.

For those caught within the border, anyone ovr 18 or claiming to be, should just be hauled off, interrogated, and put on a military transport to their home country or the country they sneaked in from (Canada or Mexico, as they are the only borders we share) and let that country deal with the problem!

Deportation, walls, fear. Wow...the terorrists have already won! They have us scared and now we're gonna build a wall along the southern US border....Canada? Nah no one will come through there, they'll all be from Mexico, or south America (sarcasm).

I think that no human is illegal who is in the US to work honestly, and support their family. I mean since when have we turned away people who're here for the American dream? This nation has a way of screwing minorities (Japanese Internment, Stealing Native American Lands, Deporting "Illegal" immigrants. Let's learn from history hmm?

Walls never work, and if one is built I can guarantee people will find a way to cross it. Even if I have to put a hole in it myself.

That doesn't address overstrained services like education and health care. We can't educate their poor. Their own government doesn't provide universal education so it would always be a better life for them here. However that better life is at the expense of our children and people needing health care, and we foot the bill.

Screening is only part of it.

What's wrong with doing something to uphold and enforce our laws? Especially when we have millions of illegal criminals here breaking multiple laws. We have the right to have our laws enforced.

No I will tell you what WILL work. Making it easier for employers to do background checks on employees, and imposing STIFF fines and/or jail time, on employers who hire illegals. When the cost outweighs the benefits, they won't get work. With no work, they will go back home.
