The first slaves coming in the 1600s were usually not Christian. But their descendents slowly leaned towards Christianity. In some aspects, slaves were treated as part of the family. They would often attend church services with their masters' families. Over time, this caused most of the slave community to convert to Christianity.

I didn't realize that "blacks" worshipped Christianity. The Roman Catholic Church is not a part of every church. There are churches that do not affiliate or support the doctrines of the Catholic church. I worship God.
Not every black person that walks the face of this earth have ancestors that were slaves so this statement is too general.

There is a lot more to slave history that black Africans. Most people on the earth are ancestors of slaves. Slavery has always been a form of employment. Sometimes good, and other times not. Christ is real regardless of ones ancestral background. Trying to tie black slavery to Christianity is like tying global warming to polar bears. Tying the Catholic church to Christianity is like tying crime to blacks. It just doesn't necessarily fit.

I worship God through Jesus Christ. I PRACTICE Christianity. People try to use the Bible as a justification for slavery, when the words maidservant, manservant, etc. have NOTHING to do with slavery. People take that way out of context.
God doesn't care what race you are as long as you glorify HIM.

Does this worry you.
Blessed be all those that find the right way into Christ. Black people don't worship Christianity, they worship Christ.
I believe the blacks are one of the best worshipers that God has.

Well, they don't worship Christianity. They worship God and practice Christianity. Those who do, do it because they believe in it, just like any other person who practices a religion.

It is probably not the religion but what the teaching embodies in Christianity. Where else can you find teaching that forgives your enemy. God bless the blacks.

Well....they don't "worship" christianity...they worship God....why?
Because they know it's true...and they are willing to forget about what catholics did to them, because that was not from God...and worship god...cause they know He exists, and loves them...simple no?

It is because they beleive in it now. Their beleifs have changed to what makes sense to them. it doesn't matter what others who also subscribe to that beleif have done. Over in Iraq, many muslims have been killed by radicals. This doesn't make any muslims leave their faith...

christianity teaches fear guilt and shame. the blacks that became christian were ashamed that thier people were taken in in such a way. they were afriad of being killed of beaten to death so they converted because thier *christian slavemasters* were christian. also the christians bribed them with food, those that were not christian starved.
