Don't know where it originated but it's not biblical. In fact, Jesus said, "But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do..." hmmm.

It started about 1000 AC. Some guy, think he's a saint now, claimed he had a vision from Mary. In this vision Mary supposedly gave him the prayer. The prayer is taken from the greetings of Gabriel to Mary (Hail Mary...). The rosary today is different from the original. I cannot remember what's different but it has something to do with Jesus.

Catholics justify the Rosary by saying that it is Gabriel's words. However Gabriel didn't pray to Mary he greeted her and blessed her in the name of God. Also Mary was ALIVE when this happened.

Is the prayer correct in the Biblical sense? NO WAY! Mary is NOT an intercessor! She was just a normal woman elevated to an almost goddess-like status. Mary herself said that she needs a savior (you can find that in Luke)!

Unfortunately the catholic church has been evolving and changing that no one nows whats up anymore.

The Rosary was given to St. Dominic by our Blessed Lady. The Rosary is based on the Bible. The prayers said in it are the Our Father (which is recorded in the Bible as the prayer Jesus taught to his disciples), the Hail Mary (The first part of this prayer "Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you amoung women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus." Comes from Gabriel's greeting to Mary which is recorded in the Bible. The second part of this prayer was added later "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death." does not come from the Bible.), and the Glory Be is simply a Trinitarian prayer "Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen" This prayer is composed from Jesus' teachings of the Trinity.
The mysteries of the Rosary all come from the Bible, except The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into heaven and the Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth, these two mysteries come from Sacred Tradition.

None that I know of as I believe part of it is Hail Mary's etc, and I don't consider praying to Mary as an intercessor Biblical.

With that said, Catholics are definately Christian, but with some practices that are more historically man made than biblical. Just like some protestant churches as well.

It is an invention of the Catholic religion, or may be an adaptation from foreign religions. There are others who also use beads on a string with their prayers.
They don't read their bibles and don't know the repetition of prayers is offensive to God. They also pray to dead people and that's wrong too. Too shorten the answer no, it is not in any bible.

No - its not Biblical. Its a part of the Roman Catholics equivalent (but not the same) as Judaism's Oral Law..., filled with dreamed up concepts add to and not a part of the Biblical trust given men.

I forget what they call this addition Roman Catholic nonsense, but its treated as reliable as the Bible (and is not - obviously as it delves into pagan rituals).

The Roman Catholic Faith (started under Constantine) is a complex blend of Judaism, Christianity and Hellenism - helenism itself is a blend of various pagan beliefs which imbibes in idol worship). God Almighty revealed this Roman Catholic secret, the house of lies, to me without any man made instruction.

once you've been praying for particular issues for a lengthy even as your suggestions receives somewhat drained. i imagine rosaries, prayer beads are purely a way of protecting in contact with God in a form of meditation once you've stated the entire lot you pick to assert yet you do not pick to completely provide up praying. Or a minimum of it is the kind of concept the nun's at my convent college gave me. i imagine prayers are heard ideal even as they arrive instantly from the middle and are stated with emotion. i do not do any senseless praying myself, yet perchance it truly is sweet once you should wish for a lengthy time period like a nun.

The first part is from the gospel of Luke and the second part is a prayer of petition. Mary is in the bible. She is the mother of Jesus and a witness to his life death and resurrection.

It is so far from Biblical it must make God mad. God NEVER intended for us to pray to Mary as an intercessor- The Bible says that Jesus is our intercessor. Mary was a woman that was pure in heart that God used in a great way, but she was only that- a woman.
