but jokes aside, if you want to stop being in love with her, you need to stop talking to her. it will hurt alot, but it will hurt even more when she breaks up with her bf, and you think shes gonna come back to you, and she doesnt. and why? cuz your her "friend". i had one gf break up with me and when i asked why, she said that guys were like gum, you chewed on one till the flavor went away then you spit it out and got a new one. i asked her why she wasnt worried about comparing guys to gum, but you get my point, she has moved on, and that fact alone means she isnt good enough for you. the only thing that will help is time

You are not stupid. Love does not vanish when the person does. Some people recover faster than others. It takes time. Maybe she had started moving on before you broke up, so after the break up it did not take her as long to heal. Also when one jumps from one relationship to another without healing time they tend to be numb from the pain. They also tend to make the same mistakes again.
Don't worry - you are heathy - just give your heart a chance to heal.

No, not stupid. I still love someone that left me years ago. You just realize it will never happen and move on. Doesn't stop me from every now and then of thinking "what if"? The key is being able to wonder, but still move on.

No ur not stupid...Usually if you have had a long relationship and you guys had a rough ending prolly the gurl is out to hurt you or to see if u still care...I know that feeling cause i have had it before! BTW I still love my ex tooo haha! Good luck with it though!

We have the same situation. It's just that the memories are still fresh, and the feelings is still there, especially that you still have contact with her, that you're still seeing each other. It will take time for you to get over and forget the feelings.
