Try thinking outside the box. Maybe something like books or other learning aids. Or even a pet like a fish or hamster to start with to help in teaching her some responsibility. Also other things to consider maybe taking her to an amusement park or something similar for her birthday. Sometimes the simple things can be the best especially in our world of electronic gadgets, my daughter who is currently 3 enjoys some of the more simple things I used to enjoy like frisbees and balls and things of that nature.
Hope these give you any ideas

take her to the zoo and give her a dispoable camera to take pics of your special day or take her to a nice park with a picnic hamper (my 6yrd old loves that) do not try and get something mega expensive that will just lie in her room after a few days of playing with along with the rest of the toys. Imagination is what you need for her to have a memorable birthday she will be able to remember the day she done this and that but toys will come and go - good luck

Why don't you just ask her for the top 5 things she would most like to receive. Then pick one of and buy it.
She gets what she wants and you'll be the best parent ever for buying it her.
As some else has already mentioned, it'll probably be a horse/pony so I hope you have deep pockets lol!!

you know it really is a disgrace little ones provide their moms and dads a troublesome time. She is 12 years old. You run her up the walls do not enable her run you. i'd say she desires a good ole style whoopin'. looks you've tried very just about each thing else. good success! My God, I genuinely have purely examine different different comments from others responding to this. To me it appears like they are telling you to compromise with a 12 year old. i'd be D***. She don't know not some thing you pay those expenditures, you purchase her clothing, you feed her, you, you, you. you positioned your foot down and shop it there till she learns understand. that's extra valuable for her to study from you than to study from someone who would not provide a darn about her. She'll cry now , yet she'll thanks later. Anymore Questions question me

I like the savings account idea but at 7 they seem to like something they can touch. Maybe a purse with make-up, brush, car keys and a wallet with some money in it.

Saw this great science thing... a rock tumbler... turns rocks into polished jewel like precious stones ready to cut. Like in new age shops.
Or a skate board or howe about self defence lessons (which will enable you to relax when she gets older and can kick the butt of any guys who give her grief)

If she likes to sing and dance the Bella Dancerella DVD's are cool or the Fisher Price Star station is really cool, my daughter loves both of them.
