Bonne appetite is french for good appetite.
Lost in translation though, it is meant to say enjoy your meal.

It's "bon appetit", literally "good appetite", used to wish someone a good meal. I think it's more parallel to saying grace than it is to saying "enjoy your meal". (I have had to answer this question--in Swiss-German the expression is "En Guete")
