It is my belief the Messiah already came and left. The Jews are still waiting for Him. Why do they look down their noses at everyone else? Do their beliefs make them think they are BETTER than everyone else? Isn't this a contradiction to, at least, the Old Testament?

I know the Old Testament speaks of Jews as God's chosen people, but ALL people were created by God and nowhere does it say the rest of the world is filled with goats.

"Goats" is meant to be "people who are not Jews", not goats liteally.

I will not deny that GOD did mention that Jews were chosen people. But it was also mentioned that the same chosen people due to their arrogance, were deprived at the same time. GOD gives power/ wealth or anything to whom HE likes and also takes it away from anyone HE likes. SO GOD TOOK IT AWAY , THAT IS, THE TITLE 'CHOSEN PEOPLE' was removed from the JEWS. hey were before, and they are not NOW. Now everyone is equal in the eyes of GOD. The only difference is who has the most level of piety. So strive hard and serve GOD with all heart. May GOD BLESS all people with love and bound them to unity.

I think this is a valid question. I don't think the idea of Christians deciding Jews were the chosen ones and Christian ones were not makes any sense. Sure, all people are "the chosen people". Jews are not any more loved by God than anyone else. A lot of what was written in the Bible is for the purpose of trying to educate and control people. This works very well. I am not offended by goats. I think you are trying to keep it light.
It's a stupid and prejudiced idea that has no place in this modern and pluralistic world.

Well they are descendants of Abraham. God made a promise to Abraham that he will bless his people, he will also bless those who bless them and curse who curse them. God never goes back on a promise. Abraham was a man of faith and did anything God asked of him without question.

The Jews behaved the same way in the bible days, they were always puffed up and proud.

God did not call the Gentiles goats. n the end days he said he will separate the sheep from the goat, meaning the believers from the unbelievers.

No one I know who is a modern Jew looks down their noses of people who believe differently then them. They think Christian beliefs/practices are just as odd as the Christians who think that that Jewish beliefs are odd.

Yes there are some fanatical Jews, just like there are fanatics of any religion, but they do not speak for the majority.

In fact, I will say that of the people I know, those who are Jewish tend to be MORE accepting and tolerant of other peoples beliefs than their Christian or Muslim counterparts. This is only my personal experience. I knew of only one person who was radically Jewish and they were no more irritating than (the many)radical Christians I know.

I am not Jewish, I do not put any stake in any religious beliefs.

The Jews are God's chosen people. Jesus, Himself, was born a Jew. The thing is, the Jews don't believe their Messiah has come yet. God did lead His people to the promised land flowing with milk and honey. These people were descendants of Abraham, God's faithful servant

Because it is said in the Bible - from what I have learnt off the bible - all Jews would go to heaven no matter what they do - others will be chosen - again the best of the best of the best - because there is a space problem - So those of you who try hard - try harder - god is not that merciful after all - he has a strong filter that would send you to hell.

no the rest were gentiles. not goats. Jews will always be Gods chosen ones, even though they are not perfect. The way I see it , I am glad He decided to include us gentiles. Jesus loves us all.

my gosh, there are so many misconceptions going on here.
firstly the premise for the question is mistaken. Jews (such as myself) don't look down on non-jews.
secondly, we don't see "chosen" as meaning "more beloved". we understand it as meaing chosen for a special job; namely, to be His ministering people, much like the priests ministered unto israel itself.
thirdly, we believe EVERYONE can go to heaven as long as they abide by the 7 laws of noah (e.g. don't kill, steal, etc.)
fourthly, it says in the "O.T." that we're chosen.
fifthly, G-d said He'd never take away our special status.

those are just some which spring to mind.

BECAUSE JEWS WERE THE FIRST FASCISTS. IN THE EARLY DAYS OF THE BIBLE THEY MARAUDED ALL OVER PALESTINE WIPING OUT ANYBODY WHO DIDN'T BELIEVE IN THEIR RELIGION. THEY WERE SO SURE OF THEMSELVES BUT REALLY IT WAS JUST A REACTION TO THEIR TREATMENT AS SLAVES IN EGYPT. THE WAY ISRAELIS ARE NOW IS ABOUT THE SAME AS THEY WERE THEN. NOT ALL JEWS ARE ISRAELIS THOUGH, AND OVER HALF LIVE IN OTHER COUNTRIES. THEY HAVE A PERSECUTION COMPLEX BUT THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES WHO HAVE SUFFERED AND I REALLY WISH THEY'D GET OVER IT. NOT ALL JEWS THINK LIKE THAT. MOST RELIGIONS AND CULTURES HAVE A NOTION OF SUPERIORITY OVER THE OTHER. WHY SINGLE OUT ONE GROUP? WAY TO GET REACTION DUDE! BTW WHAT HAS GOD GOT TO DO WITH ANYTHING? HE'S JUST A FIGMENT OF OUR COLECTIVE IMAGINATION.
