Ducks are too greasy and you have to boil off the fat. That takes extra time in preparation. Time is money and wages aren't cheep. I think the Colonel knew what he was doing in picking the chicken.

I don't know as I have never eaten duck and probably never will! That is, probably, why the Colonel chose chicken. It is a staple in almost every American home. I know of very few people who don't eat chicken, but I don't know anyone who eats duck. That is why he made millions on chicken.

ducks are just different when you cook them. Chicken are easier because they are just easy to deal with
plus, chickens reproduce quickly, so maybe he chose them for his buisness.

Maybe he couldn't shoot very well. You can catch chickens by chasing them :) Ducks can fly.

they have that whole layer of fat thing to deal with. he went with easy. i like my KFC extra crispy, and my biscuits dipped in the gravy!!
