The tomato in the sauce is an acid base and should be OK if you put in the fridge this morning and plan to eat it soon as long as there was no meat in it. Cook it to a full boil or 140 degrees and it should be fine.

Yeah, still good just put it back in the fridge until you want it. I do it all the time. I always throw away anything that had milk or something like that in it, but pasta and sauce? Back in the fridge.

Tomatos spoil rapidly in open air and can cause serious food poisoning. You can put leftovers in the frig hot, there's an old wives tale to let it cool first (bacteria growth).

I think tossing food out after an hour or two sitting is your best bet to stay healthy.

I believe it'll be fine - make sure you heat it THOROUGHLY.

I wouldn't, however, take the same chance with anything like chicken, fish, or dairy. (it's not a white sauce that you have on your pasta, is it?)

Yes...just put it in the fridge...I would, but then again, it's only pasta..how cheap is that to purchase and cook over???? If you feel more comfortable with heaving it..then heave it.

I wouldn't eat it. Pasta is so easy to make, just do up another fresh batch. Don't take chances.
