Guys are always going to be guys and they will always tell dirty jokes at unappropriate times. You can be cautious but should still give him more opportunities. One dirty joke shouldn't decide it all. We all have slip ups sometimes.

Personally, I love dirty jokes so long as they're not told in front of the elder members of my family (I hate to watch them wrinkle their noses).

Perhaps he was unaware that your group of friends were so conservative. Perhaps he was nervous and wanted to break the ice. Whatever the reason, tell him the joke bothered you and give him another chance.

Go for coffee again, and maybe a third time. You won't know if you have real chemistry until you spend more time with him. I wouldn't write him off for one dirty joke.
