The dots started yesterday. She has more today. The appear to be mainly on her face and are moving down. She now has them on her upper back and starting today upper front. She is 2 years old. She has had a fever, up to 102.
She has an appointment at 430 today - just wondering what you all think. It could be hives? Chicken pox? Spotted fever? Allergic reation to Dad's cooking?

From what I can see (BTW, she is adorable!) doesn't look like chicken pox. Chicken pox start out in warm areas of the body, under arm, groin, etc.. and have a white "head", kinda like a pimple. If she's scratching, get some calamine lotion so she stops just in case..you don't want that gorgeous face scarred! Good luck!

Definately a candidate for chicken pox. they appear to be pink spots and may blister. Scratching will unfold the chicken pox. Has your baby been uncovered in the perfect 2 weeks? It takes about 2 weeks from publicity to get away. in spite of the indisputable fact that, it truly is also poison ivy. Poison ivy surfaces today as blisters and is often in a localized section the position the publicity occurred. Blisters on her arm sound better like poison ivy. regarded for a three leaved plant with white berries in and round your community. Poison ivy pollution is also unfold from a canines or a cat to someone if the pollution are on the animal's coat. For chicken pox, start up searching for an extremely low grade fever and for the blisters to seem elsewhere on her body.

I don't think it is the chicken pox...has she benn scratching them? It looks more like some kind of rash due to having a fever. Good thing she has an appointment today. I hope everything goes well.

Ya. High fever, headache, rashes on body are normally seen when affected by chicken pox. In this case you should have cool diet like yoghurt, coconut water, cucumber, tomato etc. it help to lessen fever. Also you may have bath with margosa boiled water it kills germs. IT really works. Continue this along with doctor's medicine, results may appear quick.

Kinda hard to tell from the pictures, she is a cutey though. Could also be a rash from a strep infection so hopefully the doc office will swab her throat, or it could even be scarlet fever. Your'e doing the right thing, get her to her PMD today, keep the fever down with Tylenol/Motrin.

Chicken pox & hives itch really bad. You didn't say if she is scratching the rash or not, so i assume that she isn't. It sounds like an allergic reaction of some kind.

I think its measles. chicken pox usually starts first on the body esp the back and then spreads to other parts whereas measles and german measles start on the face. measles to be exact on the forehead and german measles or rubella on the back of ear. chickenpox rashes usually are vesicular meaning small fluid filled blebs. the point which goes against measles is the day of appearance of the rash. with measles its usually on the 4th day of fever. with chickenpox its the 1st day. my first diagnosis would be measles.she must be immunised and in such children atypical measles can come. with variable presentations

It could be chicken pox. its good you have a doctors appointment
it doesn't look like hives to me maybe you used a lotion or perfuem she might be allergic to. best just to keep her from messing with it to much until you talk to a doctor.

Hives are not dots. If the dots are fairly for apart...as compared to measles, she may have chicken pox.
