It isn't...it just seems that way because the media has expanded (millions of us walking around with cel phone cameras) to a point where we hear about it if a single mom in South Dakota slaps her child. Combine that with a political agenda that thrives on fear and you've got the appearance af a very violent world.

The world always has been violent. I think a big problem that's happening now is "over development". Especially western countries are becoming so "over developed", bringing along things like the "sue culture", personal selfishness as well as ridiculous laws, too many rules and state nannying. People living in these environments are getting frustrated and fed up with it. It stops them from caring about anything or having a sense of what's right, and leads to voilence. Common sense and self discipline are disappearing rapidly.

The world has been violent since the beginning of time. Do you remember how Jesus died by any chance?
BUT another problem is drugs. Drugs lead to violent crimes because addicts will (because they have to) do anything to get money for drugs they need. If they don't get them, they get sick (sometimes violently ill). If you had that problem, you would probably do things you never in your life you'd think you'd do. My son is a heroin addict. Although he has not been arrested for any violence or anything, I know he's had people after him for money, he's stolen everything from us, from all family members at this point. He's burned his bridges with all family members and now is in another state. Women turn to prostitution in order to get the drugs they need in their system. They feel as though they need the drugs (when addicted) to stay alive. Do you have any idea how many drug addicts there are in the world? A lot.

The basic reasons for violence are two: one major reason is unemployment. The youth who are filled with vibrant energy do not have any job to do and so vent their frustration through violence. The second major reason is the cinema. On seeing their favourite heroes perform heroic deeds the people get carried away and do the same. That is why te world is so violent today.

We let it be.
The world has always been a violent place to live, however advances in weapons technology and the ability to communicate via broadcasting has allowed the terriorist to be more devastating and we get to see it.
When incvidents were only reported in newspapers we didn't get to see all of the graphical pictures that we see on television today.

The world has always had violence. The difference between the old days and today is that the media makes the violence so accessible. Turning away from God's laws is part of the reason for much of the violence.

Are you suggesting that back in time it wasn't violent? Historically this is one of the most peaceful eras of the human race. And it's the human race you're talking about - not the world - there is a difference you know.

The world has always been violent. The media just has more ways to get in front of us. Think about it.

Because more and more, we have generations upon generations of kids growing up without discipline and respect for others. The value of life means nothing to these people. They live accoding to the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest. Kill, or be killed.
