I firmly believe that suicide should carry the death penalty. Give the people what they want.

They should be put to sleep by lethal rejection.

You don't site the exact wording of the law, and I won't look it up for you.
Obviously you think of this question as humorous in punishment to the "dead".

"Law against suicide" may be mis-quoted by you, or, it may be another unclear law written by some stupid legislator. I could site examples.

If one survives a suicide attempt, consider the costs incurred by law enforcement, medical staffs, hospitals, brain dead person, etc. THERE IS a punishment for survivors. One is placed under psychiatric care and stigmitized....Suicidal.

Against the law? When was the last time a successful suicide was prosecuted?

Seriously, you have things backward. Attempted suicide IS illegal, the punishment is to get yourself committed to a psych ward. On the other hand committing suicide successfully carries no criminal penalty---you're dead after all.
