I am on Weight Watchers into my 5th week I am following the points plan and have always done regular excersise but i am having no sucess and can not see this working for me. Some days I can eat all my points and other days I fail to. I know I am not the only one who will have these feelings and i know there are success stories to be told but sadly i am not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and it is depressing.
Serious answers please and no negative comments on weight as we are as we are and i am trying to be healthier put downs from those who have never had weight issues do not help!!!
Thanks

My cousin swears by weight watchers, but I've personally never tried it, so I cannot give advice on the program per se, but here are a few thoughts:
My guess is that if you haven't lost anything in 5 weeks, you're simply consuming too many calories and the plan, as it is, is simply not working for you. Time to scrap it.
I've moved a lot in my life - Europe, USA, hot climate, cold climate, etc. and the environment makes a difference in how your body burns calories . If you're in a hot environment, everything you do burns more calories. That's a fact. So on one level, going from a hot to a cold environment probably sent a signal to your body saying: conserve. That means, you have to work harder by either increasing the number of workouts you do or the intensity AND you have to reduce your caloric intake.
From what you describe, you seem to have reduced your workouts since you went back to the UK, so really, if you consider those factors alone, it's not really all that surprising that nothing comes off.
I don't know whether weight watchers counts calories, but I'd suggest that you actually start doing that yourself. Without knowing your age, I'd suggest no more than 1200 cals a day, assuming you walk one hour a day. If that doesn't do it, increase your energy expenditure and keep the calories constant. i.e. do aerobics 3 times a week (work up a real sweat) for 40 mins and walk the other days. Ideally, you have to work out 6 days a week if you want to see results. 3 days a week plus healthy eating will keep you stable, but not reduce.
Best of luck :-)

Bodies have an amazing way of adapting to new situations. Some better than others. Our bodies are actually capable of changing to live and maintain it's current weight even after you go on a diet. This could be the case with you.
Maybe weight watchers isn't the best plan for you. It's not that you are incapable of losing the weight, but it's just not the right fit. Not every diet works for everyone. Go talk to your doctor and see if she has any suggestions for you! In the meantime, try some of these hints:
-use a smaller plate at dinner, you'll put less food on it, and eat less!
-skip seconds
-don't skip desert, just make it a good choice! (Frozen yogurt or fruit instead of ice cream and cookies!)
-drink your 8 glasses of water every day! It will help control hunger!
-try to eat 5-6 small mini meals a day. It helps keep your metabolism up, and keeps munchies down
-skip the fried foods... have fresh veggies or fruit instead
- take a 20 minute walk after dinner to burn a few extra calories!
Good luck!
You WILL lose the weight!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

which plan are you doing - Full Choice or No Count? I did WW for a while and lost 3 stone ... then moved house and put it all back on plus some. Started again but was up and down for 2 years. I always used to do the No Count plan as I eat a lot of pasta and cereals. However, I have recently been put on a diet pill where I have to count the grams of fat etc that I am eating and some of the WW points are misleading.
For example, on No Count, you can have Snackajacks as one of your free foods but when you count calories, each cake is 92 cals - can you imagine how much a packet is!! Also a 100g bowl of Start cereal was about 5 points but is only about 360cals.
Maybe its not the best way for you ....... I know you were wanting motivation, believe me, I know how you feel!!!

appeared in the reflect quicker or later 2 years in the past. i became 30 kilos overweight. Heaviest I had ever been in my existence. i became smart sufficient to understand not one of the potions, creams, pills, or machines available have been valid. I searched meals that enhance metabolism and meals to assist weightloss and that i targeted on those. Joined a gymnasium and exercising consultation 6 days a week. lost the 30 kilos in 5 months. Ran a grueling 17 mile path race over a 13,000 bypass 8 months after my first day in the gymnasium. That became the purpose I set for myself. The exercising delivers a lot to standard health, weight administration, and constructive techniques-set. without question the weightloss comes from what you eat. that's so elementary. eat fewer energy than you burn. this is it. healthful weightloss software and averting subtle and processed meals is ninety% of the conflict. Now I eat just about 4000 energy of healthful nutrients an afternoon yet safeguard the burden because of the intense metabolism I surely have now. Blood stress became continuously notably solid. decrease 50 factors off ldl cholesterol. No drugs of any kind which include over the counter stuff. A multi, a fish oil, and a milk thistle. that is it.

I followed ww after having my kiddies. i lost 2-3 pounds every week. I still follow it, but not as strict and have kept the weight off. Buy their fruit sweets and mints, i always snacked on these. Ask the person who takes the meeting for extra advise. Just keep going dont give up. With the points you can still eat treats and save up points for a night out. Good luck.. x

Well the buddy system usually helps for me... I know this lady, she is a personal beauty and fitness consultant and trainer. She is excellent with fitness... and if you really want to get in shape mentally, physically, and spiritually, she is the one to help you... she is not like a personal trainer at all, she becomes more like a good friend and she lifts your motivation level to not only feel good about what you are doing, but to feel good about yourself while you're doing it... her fees are reasonable and she is willing to negotiate prices... and she gives you exactly what you want without over working you or going out of your budget... she does free consultations... so give her a call 404-210-3567 her name is Taymes...

i just cant understand whats your problem, afterall weight, isnt it, you are lucky that you have weight to burn out, come on, eat nice healthy food in limits, drink plenty of water and consume any fruit juice you relish instead of junk spicy food and see the difference. walk, walk and walk wherever possible, climb stairs up down, and always be cheerful without any regrets and make others happy. itll work, start 1, 2, 3 ..........
