How can you say this ,have you read the paper,watch T.V.,or tried to read some of these half *** written e mails.America is suffering so bad because of a lack of education.After all these years we still don't enforce the metric system.Forget about that have you heard of India being made a place for Microsoft Customer service.Even GM is thinking of merging with Nissan to save it from years of bad designs and business practices.Are you aware how many jobs and money that is.We dragged our feet when it came to researching alternative fuels for cars;and we knew that our days were limited at the pump.Have you seen the gas prices?How about the countries that been supplying the USA for years don't you think maybe they are just a little bit better than us .Huh!Damn!

As an American living in Europe, I must say that the average American education is rather poor. Seems that we get taught an awful lot about our country, but that is just about it (for example). Watching my kids grow up here in Germany, and seeing what they learn in school here, I can only say that the kids in the states don't learn half of it.

I would agree with you. It seems as if the teachers don't want to deal with the troubled youth in the classroom and the rest of us get a half a** education because of it. It is evident just looking at our test scores.
