there are a lot of DOS based operating systems developed by different enthusiasts, some are better than others. Search DOS OS on google.
Theres a really cool DOS based GUI (graphical user interface) and OS based on a DOS browser system called arachne (google search it) I ran a laptop on it for a year and had heaps of fun with it. It'll allow you to run most DOS programs and can be used for browsing the net.
Also earlier MAC OS up to 9 are very different from OSX and are not interoperable with OSX

You propose homestead windows 7. listed the following are some: homestead windows Vista, homestead windows XP, homestead windows 2003 server, Linux (fairly some ameliorations), and far of Apple OS. and those are in simple terms for pcs. There are dozens for larger platforms.

and well unix is really the OS Linux redhat and all those are derivates of unix ...after that we got shitty MAC .....low tech 3rd country world we live on....i wish every1 dies
