Because the US defends people who deserve to be defended.
Why don't you ask why all those terrorist nations keep attacking Israel?

We all agree that after the creation of Israel in 1948, the US had to fund an unfortunate people to get them back on their feet and make the a nation. However, I am appalled by the ignorance of the answers so far. You guys don't have a clue of what is happening. The US supports Israel at times even against its own interests. Why do you think people hate America? Because we like freedom, because we are a democratic nation? NONSENSE!! It is because of our partiality and the sooner we recognize and accept our faults, we are far from winning the war on terrorism. Do you think if Bin Laden was killed today, terrorism will come to an end. Far from it! Our support for Israel is so partial which is the main root of terrorism. When 34 Lebanese innocent civilians are killed, Bush is not at all sensitive to that; instead he comes out and critizes solely the Hezbollah rebels. That is not the role of a peace maker. The US has the role of bringing about peace between Israel and the Arab world and being partial doesn't help. He should have criticized the Hezbollah rebels as well as the excessive use of force by Israel. Just so you ignorant nut heads know, there were 15 innocent children amongst the dead. What about innocent Iraqis who die everyday, nobody cares for them! Do you guys know what it feels like to go out your door everyday with no assurance that you will return home? That is what is happening to the common Iraqis.
The reason why the US is so blind in its support for Israel is simple. It is due to Jewish lobbyist present in every administration. They control US foreign policy. They are the editors etc.

As to the soldier who just gave an answer from Germany, I think you should shut up. You are a pawn, a bullet for dishonest politicians. Some people have said the US is defending democratic nations around the world. Just so you know, the US does so in countries where it has an interest. Palestine is hardly a democratic nation but the US supports it because it is involved in finding Bin Laden. And Pevew Musharaf will continue helping the US because he needs that support to stay in power.
We Americans are just so ******* ignorant.

The United States protects free and democratic countries all over the world. The United States would help a Communist country if they asked for our help. The Untied States helps Arabic countries as well. For some reason, people only remember what they want to remember and block out the things that they don't want to hear.
Gulf War, 1991. Sound familiar? Defending Kuwait and Saudi Arabia from outside aggression? Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo... All areas that the US defended Muslim Interests. Humanitarian examples include eastern African countries, Indonesia tsunami relief and I'm sure I'm leaving some out.
There are several Arab countries that the US has strong ties with. Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Lebannon (before the Beruit bombing in 1983), Iran (before 1979) Saudi Arabia, Iraq (at one time and now) Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia. Some ties as stronger with some than others, but a healthy relationship exists with all.
In short, The United States will protect anyone who wishes it and chooses to live free and does not threaten their neighbors unjustly.
The Arab vs. US is just an unfortunate twist that is portrayed. Its not vs. Arabs, its against Islamic fundamentalists. We do not condone their actions any more than we condone Christian Fundamentalism (KKK) and Arabs condone Islamic fundamentalism as much as Christians condone the KKK, which is to say not at all.

The US guarantee Israeli security for a number of reasons, practical and historical.
The US has sympathy for the Jewish need to found a Jewsish state after the horror of the Haulocaust. It was also a useful allie in the region as a buttress against Communism.
Today there are many financial, political and military links between the US and Israeli governments.
Can't say that I am a fan of some of the Israeli methods (War ALWAYS ALWAYS AWAYS leads to dead babies), but if anyone had tried to systematically destroy my culture, heritage, and entire people (like the Nazis did to the Jews in WW2), I wouldn't take too kindly to anyone looking funny at me either.

Because the Israeli's do not hide and train terrorist to attack our values and freedoms. And not all Arabian countries do, there is actually a majority of Arabian countries that do not support terrorist

The US tends to defend democratic nations. Also, it is a way to pay back the Jews for their support of America during WWII. Many Jews went to war for the US.

Israel is for the US what Cuba used to be for the Soviets, a safe foothold near "enemy" territory. The US will endure any Israeli terrorist atrocity to maintain that foothold.

because isreal is a more of what they believe in its just more of a catholic holy land and thats why they care about it..
the arabian countries differ from their beliefs so they could care less

hey ally your a retard dont talk about american politics if you dont know. i am a soldier in the US army currently in Germany. isreal is a very sensitive part of the world. it has been that way for thousands of years. we simply try to calm the area. Isreal is friend we supply them everything they need to keep peace in the region.what would you do if a group or terrorist kidnaped 2 of your soldiers!
