Life is so not easy when you're gay and non-christian, why do you guys always have to look down on us and discriminate us? I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, I'm just wondering.

It really bothers me how badly Christians treat gays/ lesbians. I don't understand how telling someone they are a sinner and going to hell is supposed to demonstrate the love of Christ. A couple years ago, there was a showing of the play Corpus Cristi at a college campus in my town. A lot of church leaders in the area called their people to go protest the event in order to show the churchs' disproval of homosexual activity. Many of the actors in the play were getting threats of physical harm, and there were swarms of people outside the theater holding nasty signs every night the show ran. It was pretty ugly, except for my friend John. He was the leader of a group of college age kids within our congregation, and he asked them what message they thought the protesters were sending (the answer was hate) and what message the kids would like to send if they could (the answer was love.) So, he and these kids ended up buying a bunch of pizzas and delivering them to the all cast and crew on the opening night of the show. They told the cast that they just wanted to show them that not all Christians are like the protesters who were parading around outside, and that Chistianity is about showing the love, mercy and grace of Christ, not about judgement. The cast and crew were amazed because the actions and attitudes of my friend and those kids was so different from anything they had seen from a Christian before. To this day my friend still keeps in touch with some of the people who were involved in putting on that show. It really makes me sad that so often Christians are known for all things they don't like, and not at all for the love we are supposed to be known for. Before I became a Christian, I was a Wiccan priestess, and believe me, I got many a hate-comment from so-called Christians too, so, I understand where you are coming from. I am so so sorry that so many Christians can be so hurtful and mean. Just please know that we're not all like that because that's not the way we're supposed to be, and it's not the attitude Jesus had when He was here on earth, nor the attitude He has now. God bless.

Living in the Mormon capital of the world all my life, I have found that most Mormon's don't accept things they don't understand. Even if they do they still feel what they believe, everyone else should believe. A bunch of crap as far as I'm concerned. I don't push what I believe on anyone, and don't think anyone should push theirs on my. I don't know why we can't all respect each others beliefs. If I am doing something wrong in my life I will pay for it, not them.

For everyone that thinks I should believe in thier god, all I ask is that you prove, without a shadow of a doubt that everything you say and believe is true. Then and only then will I believe!! And don't tell me to read the bible, were you there when it it was writen??? Can you prove it hasn't been modifyed??

I am Christian , but I don't agree with most of our religion;s attitude towards minorities ... we are taught in school to only tolerate the ones who respect what the Bible says ... but I can't say I agree since there are a lot of people who have different opinions and we have to respect theirs too.. Also we are taught that God is good and forgiving ...so I don't understand why we don't take His example and accept people the way they are... .. Some people are just Christians in attacking people and making them feel bad ..like you said ...those are not really Christians ...if they were they would accept you the way you are...sorry for the long answer ..I don't know if I answered your question the way you wanted ...

Faith is inside, nobody has the right to look down or question your life style or belief. Questioning belief is one of the biggest sin in Islam. I do not know a lot about Christianity but at the end they are all same God's rules.

Christian's have a freedom to dislike homosexuality or even call it an abomination - it is clearly a sin against nature. However, how they treat people engaging in it is a different story. Most are guilty of not "loving the sinner, yet hating the sin." But remember too, that loving someone does not dictate that their lifestyle be accepted.

That's because they are blind about their faith and think that they will surly go to heaven where as the others will end up in hell. They don;t know jack about other beliefs, for some reason they don't bother to learn either - I know of so many other religions allow and teach other beliefs, compare the differences and similarities - studying of all is very interesting - you can find a link between most beliefs.

Because their crazy. LOL I dont really care what they say because I'm not worried at all about hell. Because I dont believe in it.
What kind of god would send you to hell for not believing in him? Not because you have anything agaist the idea of a god but because you cant beleive in a story that was written back when people thought the earth was flat and rain was mystical. People were stupid compared to how smart we are today.

LOL there's nothing a christian can say that would make me feel bad, I just laugh at them.

Do you people not understand that a man wrote the bible to kept the society in tact? Probably along with other reasons.

Ohh and about the mormons.

Vincent. I am a christian and I am going to say shame on anyone that doesn't accept their fellow man. I belong to a church that some of the people think you can change a gay person straight. I just look at them like they are sooo wrong. You should be who you are comfortable being. I guess to me people are people and I am sorry you have to deal with hipocrites.

So you are saying that other religions do NOT look down on the rest? You don't think when Muslims call Jews and Christians "infidels", that they look at them as being beneath Muslims. Come on now, all religions look at their own as being best.
