I am not sure why they come here either. Obviously Amerians treat them like crap. I mean go to most other countries and you get treated with the respect that you deserve. I was born in America and sometimes I am ashamed of that because of the way Americans are percieved by the rest of the world. Americans not America. SO I think that the reason the want to come here is because of what their TV shows them of the country which just happens to all be lies. Supposedly we are the land of the free but even if we try to give our opinion somebody tries to shut us up. I would rather live in another county because I know that there are better places and I dont care if people get upset with my answer becasue I have a right to my opinion just like all the racist people on here.

Great if you would be so kind as to name one, and then move there.
I have seen the world bucko. I have moved through more lands then i care to remember. I have seen how people live, and understand why they would get on crappy rafts to make it to Florida.
If you can find a better place to go, by all means go there.
There are some nice places and lovely people. France, Germany are great places. Wonderful vacations there or go live there for a while. Soon you'll see why everybody is talking about America.
I love Europe. It's wonderful in alot of ways. It has such a rich history and wonderful places to go. The people are great, funny and warm.
BUT...
They are taxed to death, regulated beyond all hope and have an economy and future that isn't all that bright. But hey. They do have the Mona Lisa.

The grass is always greener on the other side.
While some American do fell discontent and migrate to Canada, Mexico, and Australia - to name a few.
While some people from all around the world wants to come to the United States of America because it is the richest country in the world. It offers freedom that few other countries can offer. Freedom to protest. Freedom of religions. It is truly the land of the free, home of the braves.
America is the land of opportunities, and immigrants come here for the American dream to have a better life for themselves and their children. America offers social and economical mobilities that few other countries can offer. There are many examples, but the prime example is Arnold Schwarzenegger. He came America from Austria for the American dream.
From humble beginning, he is now the Governor of California.

Dearest Max,
hummmm....scratch my head...well first of all I live in Holland..and I love Europe... it's indeed wonderful in allot of ways with a lot of cultural history and wonderful places to go anyway, we are friendly have huge sense of humor and kindly towards foreigners.
The reason I would come to the USA would be to meet up my dearest friends I have acquainted due my traveling after my divorce, as well the USA have a rich of environment nature and differences of "yes" culture..., second, indeed as some said inhere and stated go an live in Europe and You will see that it will be much different then when You are just traveling, everything is way expensive since the Euro came in and people can not find a job that easy when You are all ready over 23 then You are getting to expensive to get hired due way over to much to pay salary for...weird hu...no discrimination allowed but they do it in a white way...me myself...I am 50 and was yes was looking for a job here for almost 1 1/2 years and with NO results...so..what to do? well looking around Internationally and so I have received a job offer in the Dominican Republic which I took with both hands, if there was a USA company who would have approach me with a job offer I would have take it as well....hopefully You got it now? why people leave their country towards the USA or somewhere else?
good luck with the answers You receive and enjoy...
regards
Coralia

This is to ALL you UN proud Americans.........get out of the USA if you hate it so much, thats one of the many things you are FREE to do!
I am so sick of all the whinning about America this, America that etc. I grew up an Army brat, traveling all over the US and lived for a time in Germany while my Father was stationed there. Yes, there ARE many wonderful, and beautiful countries in which to visit or even live but, like the slogan for Wyoming " like no place on Earth" is befitting for the USA too !

Because it is still the land of opportunity. You can find a decent paying job as an immigrate and make a good living doing it, all while living in a free country. Not bad reasons I don't think.

Maybe it's because this country offers freedom and the opportunity for any one from any class and walk of life to succeed.
I would suggest, if you are so miserable here, that you leave. May I recommend Cuba? Chechnya? N.Korea or Somolia? How about Iran-I hear it's lovely this time of year.

If you have seen much happier countries, what keeps you here? Maybe the reasons you stay, are some of the same reasons people come here.
