Perhaps, a bright young girl or boy with excellent computer skills might create a website from which children, exclusively, could sell their art. As an avid collector of children's art, I'd wager that there would be more reward than mere "pocketmoney" in such an enterprise.

Pocket Money Jobs

This depends on their ages & if they already have chores.. If they are already doing chores they should be giving an allowance based on how well they do the chorse, if they need to be reminded to them etc.. If they do not have any give them some with an allowance. If they already have chores & an allowance have them do anything extra that needs to be done around the house or yard that isn't a chore already like clean the basement, wash windows, weed flower beds, wash the car, clean garage or have them mow lawns. Get creative with it, it's summer ~ I'm sure you can think of something that needs to be done that you just haven't had time to do.

lol this is a really honest one. To bad most of retards who hire at those type of jobs expect you to lie and say for ex. instead of "DESIRED POSITION: Company’s President or Vice President. But seriously, whatever’s available. If I was in a position to be picky, I wouldn’t be applying here in the first place." Desired position: cashier because I enjoy working with people. I think I would a perfect person for this job because I have excellent communication skills and I smile a lot . It would me pleasure to serve people every day and bring joy to their lifes by selling them declicious high quality food.

It would depend on the age of the child. With youngsters under 10 years old, I would say that working for pocket money is a little early. Instead, try keeping a piggy bank around the house and encouraging them to find coins around the house and saving it up. This builds patience and it helps younger children develop the concept of saving money, something always handy to have around. =)

Also, for really young children, you can try doing little things together. For example, you can try baking some cookies together and selling them afterwards. With younger children, it's usually just the parents thinking of fun ways to sort of "give" them money without having them catch on to the fact that their little projects cost more than what they earn.

For older children, you can try having them do yardwork for neighbors. My little cousins did this for a few summers; they went up and down our street and asked our neighbors if they would be interested in help with the garden for a donation for $5. Most folks would be happy to help, and it would also help your child grasp the concept of a hard-earned dollar.

However, I would advise against giving pocket money for doing chores around the house. This sometimes builds a habit of thinking "I should get a dollar for taking out the trash," or something similar. Once you give a child money for doing something they should, by priciple, do, then they will sometimes expect to be paid in the future for the same thing. It seems like a big hassle to me, and it would probably be best if avoided all together.

Best of luck with your kids. =)

Well if its a teenager then they can help set the table, clean the dishes, take out the rubbish, put some washing on, walk the dog if you have one, wash the car, just a little help around the house so they can learn things before they leave home. But dont get them to do loads otherwise they wont do anything.

Depending on where you live you could go around your neighborhood mowing lawns or simply asking your neighbors if they have any odd jobs that you could perform for them. Again, only do this if you live in a neighborhood where you and your parents know the neighbors and they can be 100% trusted. Hope that helps
