I pride myself as a non-substance-abuse/ non-addict (unless you count my reading habit). My only vice had been alcohol. Used to be like two days a week I would get really tipsy, usually during weekend dinners with darling or friends. But lately I have picked up minimum two wines before/after dinner. I actually look forward to 5pm when i usually have my first glass. Am I in danger of long term addiction?

Yes you are in danger.. There is nothing wrong with one or two.. but when you still are binging every weekend as well it is heading down the wrong path.

I dought it. I am a heavy drinker. I drink a half a fifth up to a whole one or more a day right now, but if I stop I don't have dts or go into fits. I have been drinking heavy since 18 and I an now 35. I used to drink even more, but I am not an alchoholic. I just like getting drunk, but be careful.

Yes. See if you can not have that drink at Five pm or go a day or long without. If all you think about it the alcohol then you have a addiction.

No, but I think it is wise to be aware of what you are doing. Do you have any alcoholics in your family? That is something you need to think about too. Is your life very stressful right now? Do you need a massage instead of a tipple? Take it easy on yourself and don't freak out.

To be an alcoholic you must have one of three issues in your life:
1. you can't control how much you drink
2. you can't control when you drink
3. you can't control what you do when you drink
Are you in danger? Yes. Are your parents alcoholics? You are in danger. Are you in greater danger when you go out on the streets and drive? Yes. Simply looking forward to a drink is not an issue.

Good that you discovered it at the beginning. Once you become die hard alcoholic, its difficult to over come.
Better stop it now. Go away from your liquor cabinet at 5PM. Try taking a walk in a park at that time.
Life is gods gift. Dont lose it early due to alcohol.
