I have a question, why did God put us here on earth to live our lives? how come he made us in the first place? doesnt earth seem like hell already? and supposedly if he loves us so much why does he make us have to choose heaven or hell. when in fact earth seem like hell already. I mean look at your lives most of your lives probably arent so bad...but i bet a lot of other peoples are especially in different countries that can't support themselves...why does god let children get raped? or go hungry? why does god let people suffer. isnt that hell already? why did god make it so people get hurt, and you cant say it isnt god that its people themselves, because god created us he lets what he created hurt themselves and others. what kind of god is that? please answer maybe you can shed some light on this...

==*I wrote this as an answer to "What is the meaning of life?"*==
Life.
What is it?
Scientifically? A state in which organisms are able to carry out life processes, ie respiration, digestion (for animals) and yes, reproduction, et cetra.
As in the context of the question? A concept, nothing more. The time in which we are born to the time in which we die.
God?
(Or any God in any other religion for that matter)
What is it?
Scientifically? A religious concept, nothing more. Albiet one that has many scientific flaws in it.
Religiously? The Creator. The Giver of Life. He who started the universe.
Wait.
Back to the point.
This question is asked by 2 kinds of people
* Depressed people
* People who have utterly nothing better to do with their time
You will never find a person usefully occupied asking this question. Why? Simply because (s)he does not find the question useful or relevant to his/her life.
Depressed people find that life is useless. What is the meaning of life anyway? Agony? Torture? Life is filled with that. There is love, too. And friendship. And happiness. Yet these are often full of uncertainty, stained with a tinge of regret, loss, sadness--When they come in the first place. Which is rare. Agony and hardship, on the other hand, are so often found in our daily lives.
So is this why we are sent here by God (I'll be using this as the word for the God in all other religions. No offence to any other religions is intended. I am not a Christian. I chose it simply because it's short and easy understand)? As playthings of God? To be viewed from everywhere, to be laughed at at the utter foolishness of our lives?
But then I ask.
Life is hardship. Is death peace?
Death.
What if death isn't blissful ignorance, at peace with God and the world?
What if death was simply...nothing?
People flee Life to Death because they think that Death can offer them peace. Is that true?
Furthermore, to flee Life would be a cowards' way out.
Life is hard. So? You're only one human being. Do you think that your life is the hardest out of this six billion world population?
What is hard?
Is Death a heroes' exit?
Or is it simply a cowards'?
Are we left to believing what the ancient Greeks did? Valhala?
Have you heard of the phrase "It is not the end, but the journey, that matters the most"?
People run rounds around a track, only to end up at where they began. Is that senseless?
"It is not the end, but the journey, that matters the most."
All of us must meet Death. Yet you choose to meet it earlier simply because you cannot face the alternative.
Then what is your life? What value would people put into it--when you yourself don't?
God gave us Life. God is always right, even though we may disagree.
Are you outrightly defying Him by saying that Life has no meaning?
Have you considered that He has reasons for it that are beyond human comprehension?
So why live?
Live for the small pockets of joy and happiness. Live to love others. Live to make other lives worth living.
Live to overcome the despair of not living.
That is the essence of what I believe Life to be.
My argument is short, I know. It's not perfect either, I know that too. But think about it.
Till death do us part.

Did you ever think that maybe this planet is another world's hell? Perhaps everyone here was a sinner in another world, and we are condemned to live a new life here trying to be better in a world that discourages it. Perhaps each time we die we are reborn in a new world (heaven or hell or earth or whatever) based on how we lived our previous life, live well and you get sent to a better world.
This question is eternal, no one can possibly answer it, for to answer a question about the will of "god" is to claim to understand "god". To understand "god" is to be like "god". And that is beyond us poor mortals. If you don't like the world, change it. Get together with like-minded people and start something, donate to charity, go to council meetings and be heard, make a noise! Nothing in history has ever gotten better just because people complained about it. If "God" made the world he made it this way for a reason, he put evil in the world because he wanted there to be good, just as darkness is an absence of light, evil is an absence of good. You are here to make a difference one way or the other, choose good or choose evil. If you choose nothing you are simply wasting your opportunity.

God didn't put us here to live our lives. He has given us freedom. People are the ones that do these things to others. And just because you live in the US doesn't mean you can't have a hard life. I really think too many people here are so stressed and angry. We have a high rate of suicides due to this. But God has given us freedom. If we didn't have a choice, maybe we would be worse. He's our Father, and if you're a parent you know what it feels like for your kids to do the wrong thing, and ignoring you when you try to guide them to do what's right. Think of that.

God put us on earth to survive and make the best out of it. bad things and suffering started when the devil started ordering people to commit sins and by those sins we do suffer alot today. God is fair, but he has only put us through a test to see if we can abide by his rules and keep committed to Him inspite of all we go through. if people would follow God instead of satan, there would be no hunger and no rape and no suffering.. it is a living hell, some kind of hell but you can surely believe the hell is much much worse than that... God did not create us to be this way. he ordered us to follow His rules not the devil's but yet we just don't do as ordered and come to accuse him of not being kind. we should start by looking at what he has given us, all the good he has given and then follow the rules he ordered us to follow rather than blaming Him for our own faults

Look created a wonderful world for us but the hell it is today is turned into, we are solely responsible for it. In the very beginning of this earth HE supplied everything to the human being but this hatred and all is done by us and not GOD. He never makes us suffer, its our own deeds which let us suffer. No one remains hungry He is there provided or arranging food somehow by somemeans. He never interferes in our work like a good parent but wants everybody to learn and experience life with his/her own wayout. HE is responsible for nothing we all responsible for today's hell.

There are a thousand barbers in the world. Why isn't everyone shaved?
God put us on earth to live our lives so that we can do good deed, enjoy ourselves, make him happy, than go to heaven. No my dear, this isn't hell. N if u think this is hell, imagine what is real hell like? so u'd better start doing good deeds.
God lets 'bad' things happen to people beacause than good comes out of it. I know of someone who was raped but she opened an instituion to protect women who were raped or who were discarded by their husbands somewhere in nepal i think? see what i mean? u r not god. u cannot understand him. y do u kill insects? because they harm u? y do u kill chicken? because u have to eat it? y do u have to kill plants to get food out of them? everything which happens has a reason. N u n i r not one of them to understand everything. we should do good in our own way n maybe, god will reward us one day. amen

1) you are christian or jewish
2) to answer your question, one would have to have you look at things from the viewpoint of other religions, because your religion isn't answering the questions for you.
3) this is probably very hard to do
4) therefore you need to study other religious viewpoints on your own determination
5) pain is part of survival
6) survival is an infinite scale, with infinity, immortality and God at the top, we are near bottom
7) Earth is hell.
