Find a social activity to participate in, be more outgoing. Low to no self esteem and confidense can be a sign of social anxiety disorder, which for that there is medication, Good Luck!

Ignore positive statements and self help books.... self esteem and confidence comes from success and self belief. Whenever you tackle a task put all your effort into it and set goals for yourself. eg getting super fit

It's all in your own thought, if you think you are confident, then you are confident. You might be influenced by what other people said, but different people have different perceptions of you. Some people may think you are good, some may think you are not.
