If your username is 'Humanist', I doubt you believe in Satan.
It's all about the application. The Bible, if applied literally, would be equally horrendous. Theocracy is a bad thing, whichever book you base it on.
This is what one person, 1300 years ago, believed was the correct way to live life. That one is what one person, 2000 years ago, believed.
The best thing is to live your life in accordance with modern, well-tested values. Thus you should discard the Qur'an and the Bible when making judgement.

I do not think that any religion is satanic. Its the people who interpret are satanic. There are those who are static. They think what was or may have been relevant centuries ago is still relevant.that is where the confict starts from. Islam wants to take you back to that time. Islam is not a Progressive religion. Muslims will have you believe otherwise.
During the time of Jesus, Mohammed, buddha and all the other great prophets of other religions, everyday life was totally different to what it is today. We have to be able to bring the teachings of the great prophets to this day, to today.Muslims do not want that. They want to remain how it was centuries ago. Thats the problem with Islam and a few other religions.
The people who believe in Islam want all the comforts of today but want to treat the women, other religions and faiths to how things were in the time of muhammed.

Compare Islam to the Old Testament and you will find little difference if any in the violence and bad treatment.
By linking a question about Islam with Satan you reinforce the suspicions of all the other religions that Christianity is against them.
Islam is far more peace loving, tolerant and accepting of other faiths than it seems Christianity ever will.

No. I think religion is just an excuse there, an excuse for terrorism, for treating women like total crap without any right....it's all about politics actually. And the Shariah, I think it's totally disgusting and that muslims should feel ashamed of having the name Islamic Law accompany it.

I don't know where did you get the idea of women being degarded in Islam, maybe you are mixing it up with Christianity which starts degarding women from the very first lady on earth Eve.
What Shariah laws bother you and I will be more than happy to answer it, unless you really doesn't have anything against it but you just wanted to show your hate against Islam and anything that relates to it.

Islam... is a peaceful religion..
The Catholic Church said it best.."ALL religions have truths"...
The religion cannot be judged just because the followers do something wrong...
The Shariah Law covers only the muslims my friend....it does not apply to others (in my country anyway~)

What is Islam? Who are the Muslims? What is going on in the world today? Why is there constant conflict in the Middle East? There are so many questions and concerns that people have today. To many people Islam seems to be something foreign. But Islam should not be something dark and obscure; it is something beautiful, clear and simple.
Like Christianity and Judaism, it is a monotheistic religion that says Believe in one God and holds many similarities. It is an extension of Judaism and Christianity, and Muslims, Christians, and Jews are all considered spiritual sons and daughters of Prophet Abraham.
So why do some people associate Islam with terrorism, when in Arabic the word Islam itself simply means submission, obedience, surrender, purity, and peace? And why do some people think that this is a religion of hate, when the basis of Islam is love; Love Allah (the one God), and love the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh)?
In addition, one of the most important aspects of Islam is for a Muslim to love his/her neighbor as oneself. In our religion we should not go to bed at night with a full stomach, if we know that our neighbor is going to bed with his an empty.
There is no doubt about it that Islam is all about peace. In Islam killing one innocent soul is like destroying humanity, and saving one soul is like saving all of humanity. Muslims consider Jews and Christians as the people of the book, that is, Muslims believe Jews and Christians were also given the word of God in their holy books.
Looking into history, we will see that for many centuries Christians and Jews lived peacefully under the Muslims' rule with their full rights respected and well treated. There are many similarities within the three religions that many people do no know about. For example, many Christians don't know that Muslims believe in the miracle birth of Jesus as well, and recognize that he is the messiah, and also believe that he is going to come back.
These facts are all mentioned in the holy Koran. But Muslims do not believe that Jesus is God nor Son of God, but believe that he is a prophet, and that the one, unique God has no partners, and no sons.

Islam's origins are fantastically sordid - examine up on Mohammed and what he replaced into about and that's going to throw distinct understand for Islam out the window. Islam's historic previous is both good and undesirable, clone of the different faith, yet its modern-day state is terrifying. The fundamentalists of Islam cheerfully sanction murdering non-believers. If that's what they think of their god needs them to do, yipe. No ask your self they are troublesome to rework away. Is Islam satanic? No. yet i imagine it really is a lot below a real religious direction. If I keep in mind properly, Allah replaced into initially a pagan moon god who replaced into appropriated for Islam's crucial deity figure. strange stuff.

If Islam is a peaceful religion then it needs to get its act together and root out all the false prophets and deviants and start living on this earth with the rest of us in peace.

Islam, Is not satanic, I am a muslim woman, Islam has liberated me in many ways than you can ever imagine. Sharia law is the best thing that can happen to humanity, If you have ever lived in a country where Sharia law is practiced properly, there is practically no crime in these countries. The essence of Sharia law is the fact that it prevents crime rather than punishes.
