If you don't know what poiti'n is it's THE original moonshine, it's Irish. The few samples of poitin (pronounced pocheen) I've had where quite strong and rather tasty. I know that there is a potato based version because I've had it but I can't seem to it find any available anywhere.
Any good Irish Catholics out there please hook one of your own up with one of the more notorious liquids to ever come out of beautiful Eire.

You can by commercial pocheen, but it is not the same as the 'real' Irish 'shine. Your best bet is to make friends with someone Irish who has family in the country and hope they offer you some! :)
