i dont know what to do-when i meat my boyfriend first time,i told him the wrong age-i said that im 19,but im actually 17....i dont know why i did this,maybe i thought i never gona meet him again or something....anyways one day we ve talked and he said something like he s affraid to date young gurls,cuz he s actualy 20...i asked why,and he said-becuz he dont wanna go to jeil.....i dont look my age-i look like 20,all the ppl says...but im affraid that one day he will see my ID or just find out somehow that im 17....what should i do-tell him the true(buy i realy dont wanna lose him) or just wait till he find out himself(but maybe then he will think dat im a such a lier)......
please ppl,who ever ve benn in situation like this or just who knows wut to do-help...... :(

in the UK, 17 is old enough for most things legally - except drinking and male gay sex - so if you were over here there would be no problem. However, I guess things are different over there - is 18 the legal age for sex? - so you should come clean and tell the truth. Like the other people say, if you explain properly and he likes (or "loves") you, he'll stick with you. If he dumps you, then you weren't meant to be together anyway so you're better off without him! Besides, at 17 you have all your life ahead of you so you shouldn't get too serious too young...

Funny..I met my husband when I was 22 and he told me he was 31 but he was actually 33. I was never concerned about age but his brother "let the cat out of the bag" after we were together for a year. I laughed.
Not too sure about you since you are 17 and he is 20 and thinking you are almost 20....when you will be 21 (not really but 18) he may want to start drinking with you. Get a fake ID when you are fake 21 and continue to fake it as long as you can and let him find out. It might be funny and clever to him that you could hold out for so long without him knowing.

i have almost the same problem.. i am going out with this guy who's 15 and thinks im 14 when im actually 13... it doesn't show though coz i look like im 16... i guess what i am gonna do is wait till i turn 15 and hope he forgets i haven"t had a birthday in two years! but i think you should tell him, after all, he already like you the way you are, why would that change if you were a few years younger???? good luck!!!

Well hunni no matter what the truth must be told in the kind of situation call him and tell him that you want to meet him when he arvies tell him : Hey I was wannna tell you something important but please dont freak out and stuff ok promise and if he say whats wrong than replay : Well I lied about my age I am 17 years old I am so sorry that I lied it just came like that in my mouth I am so sorry ok please forgive me and I know we must brake out cause you are 20 and I am 17 ok and act like you were crying then walk a little bit and say I really had a nice time bye then leave crying then everything turns ok he will come to you begging you to become his girlfriend I promise you that and if nothing happend contact me so I could tell you ok Hunni hope you luck ! :D

Someone could go to jail here. Someone could be labeled a pedofile for the rest of their life, and wherever he went from then on, people would judge him, and label him, no matter how much he is not to blame. Looking twenty, and being twenty are two different things.
Part of being an adult is acting like one, and lying about your age and putting someone in jeapordy is childish, and not only that, makes me wonder if you are mature enough to even understand what it means to care about someone.
He should at least be told you're 17, and be allowed the right to decide if he wants to gamble with his future.

If its just the matter of dating thats bothering u then I may say that dont stick to him. U can always find another guy who will date u. But if this is a matter of love then tell him ur true age.
No relationship should start with a lie.

Honesty is the best policy.Girl just be forward with him,and tell him you genuinly like him,and would like to be with him & hope that the age difference won't matter.just tell him you were afraid he wouldn't b interested if he knew ur real age and hopefully he will understand.N e guy that really likes you won't care your age.Cuz that means they think your worth the world and even a little jail time.And yes I know from experience...I was 15 & my b/f was 20 & 5 yrs later we r still going strong!He didn't mind my age b/c he loved me no matter what,and if this guy isn't like that he isn't worth a min of your time anyway!lol.Goodluck.

i was 21 when my gf was 17 she told me she was 19 after 6 months i found out i was pissed off but i really had fallen for her it was hard at first but as time went on i found that i was the only 1 with the problem no 1 cared that she was younger then me in the end im glad i didnt end it just cause of her age

well you got to be straight forward with him and tell him the truth right away before you hurt him when it is to late. They can only throw him behind bars if you claim to be a rape victim or sexually assualted by him. Just make sure that you get everything out

tel him straight up, if u hold back he will be just as mad with u for not telling him in d first place, ur 17 not a kid but not quit a adult, so he shudn't mind, plus if u dnt look 17 but look 20 then he shud b ok. but i would defo tel him, it might get worse if u dnt. cnt help u anymore sorry chic!!!!!!
