I never wanted to be gay. I have two older brothers that would always say homophobic comments. I always felt that it was wrong to be so hateful towards people, but I also thought it was unnatural to be gay. When I was in high school, and realized that I was noticing other guys rather than girls, I had to deal with the possibility that I might be gay. At first I accepted the possibility, thinking that I had found what had been missing in my life, then once people started taunting me (how they were able to pick it up, I didn't know) I went into a period of denial. Eventually, I became to accept who I was, and that I'm gay. I didn't choose, and If I had a choice, I would have chose to be straight, hands down.

I recall as a teenager coming to the realization that I was not gay, but rather was attracted to solely women. This was not a choice on my part, but only following whatever instincts or pre-conditions I had been instilled with. Whether homosexuality is genetic or a nurtured trait is still a mystery to me. I like the ladies.

It is a choice for some people to be a homosexual or gay, but the norm, is to stay as straight as you were originally made.

Those are the kind of people that end up leaving their wives or husbands after cheating on them with various partners. Don't deny who you are.....it turns out better for everyone.

yeah I have chosen to be straight. I remember thinking that getting off anyway I could we feel good, but then I thought about it and now I know that anything outside of marriage is wrong so yeah I made a choice to be straight.
Romans 1
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
it is a choice turn from your ways and follow after God.
