I do believe we are living in the last days. But the bible does tell that the time is somewhat (held) back so that more people could be saved. The weather changes, the natural disasters, famines and pestilence's, these are all signs of the end times But remember the passage, "One day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day to God." So we may not know until it is here. It will be as in the days of Noah, people will be marrying and giving in marriage (not necessarily opposite sex either), so will the end be. Two men will be in one bed and one shall be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at a mill, one will be taken and the other left. In other words the Lord may come back for you today, there is no absolute promise of tomarrow no matter what your age. You should be ready!

From the perspective of an atheist: there is no such thing as the last days. There are days when the world is enmired in war, and there was a day several hundred years ago when it was not. The bottom line is: every generation likes to believe that theirs is the age of apocalypse, presumably because we have the benefit of historical record but not that of foresight, and so every international conflict in the current age appears to be the last for eternity. The truth is mankind is likely to wage war against itslef for a long time, and little is likely to stop it save for instantaneous and global enlightenment, the obliteration of every member of our species, or the unanticiapted appearance of an enemy not of humanity which we can unite against.

I think that every generation, month or week many people want to see the Last Days as happening now. BUT- as long as they just give up and assume this is the truth, they are then making those Last Days come closer by not doing anything to change the world around them. Hope should 'spring eternal'.

No, if you get the feel of the last days from any biblical apocalypse type of literature I would have to suggest thinking about how our modern world would appear in the mind of the ancients.

I think the biblical fathers had some prophetic visions they could not understand and they were horrified! I do not think the book of revelations actually tells of the end of the world.

Yes, although many have claimed this in the past. But look at what's going on in the middle east, and N. Korea. It seems the world is setting the stage for Christ's return. Although I wonder how the USA will be held back. Has anyone read the book 'Jerusalem Countdown' by John Haggi?

Yes I believe we are living in the last days because the Bible said so. But hey, one's last day is "now," this present moment. I mean that we cannot tell the future and the past we can't take back. The only moment that counts is "now."

we are living in the last days of july 2006....
as far as end times are concerned... it will come when it comes... probably never. There may be an end to this human race so the earth can replenish itself and then another race superior to us can take over.

Last days for our stupid species--I think the earth might survive. Looking at what we are doing to this planet I think humanity may wipe itself out. The shame is all the other species we are taking with us.
