The Jews killed the prophets for a few reasons. One is because a lot of the prophets told them they were going against God's laws and sinning. I guess they didn't appreciate that. Second, because the prophets went against the status quo. As for trying to kill Jesus, well they didn't just try. Jesus was crucified by the Romans to prevent a Jewish uprising. Mainly because He went against the status quo. Of course He really went against it when He rose from the dead. As for Mohammed, I have no idea.

The Prophets themselves preached doing away with non-believers. The followers carried out crusades and jihads. Read history, you wont believe how many millions have been killed in the name of what the Prophets preached.

Peace is the path of True Gods.

The state executed Jesus. Thats why it so ironic when "Christains" say they are for a state sponsored death penalty. Thats exactly what killed Jesus and many of the prophets.

They hate the truth because they want to be graded above other humans and to use others to serve them. You can see today how the small country Israel and the Jews (few millions) are abusing the greatest country America and its people to serve them to establish their religious dreams in Palestine and control the middle east.

personally, I don't think john, jesus, or mohamed were prophets. if anything, they were false prophets which the bible tells us to kill! so, for those guys we were doing (in our opinion, according to the bible) the right thing.
regarding the prophets we actually did kill... yea, that was bad.
