Good education is priceless....it is never too early to worry about your childs education and future. This will ensure that your child has a spot in a good school. When the time comes for enrollment you can always change your mind and refuse the spot if you have found something better.

I'd put his name down at a nursery first. Choosing a nursery can be quite a headache. We went round 12 in our area and found most of them to be quite shocking. The only ones worth considering had waiting lists months long.

So nursery first. Once he's there, maybe then think about primary school. That is if schools would consider putting people on their lists that early on anyway.

Although not strictly an answer to this question, i do know of a nursery that will take children from 3 years old, however they have a 5 year waiting list for spaces.

Go figure.

If the school will take his name that early then yes! Its never too early to start thinking about things like that, schools get full so quickly

i thought all primary schools only officially registered children on their waiting list from October-November after the child's 3rd birthday

why dont you find out from www.direct.gov.uk and the school and then tell us

you could do, if you do that shows you care about your child greatly and that is good. but it may not be a good idea as you may want to move or change school, so wait until you are decided.

yes by doing this you are making sure that your child WILL get a place at your preferred school and get the best education they are never to young
